Thanks for the
That MV magazine article was one of my research sources for this project. I used it to determine my coolant piping locations/coolant sources. I don't have a heater though
yes please. I was copying several coolant filter installs I read on the forum, but if there is a correct way to do it, them I'm all ears.
*** edit***
on edit, it looks like I should have made a loop between the coolant jacket & water pump then run a second loop (off that loop) for my filter)...
I finally got that pipe plug on my water pump broken loose and the last half of my coolant filter installed. The plug took a 5/8th 8pt socket attached to a 2ft breaker bar. I installed everything with copious amounts of anti-seize to avoid this issue in the future.
After I mounted everything, I...
my 5/8in 8 point socket arrived today from amazon. hopefully when I get home from work I'll be able to uninstall that stuck pipe plug from my water pump and finish my coolant filter install.
Yesterday we had some severe storms blow through with 1.5in hail and 60mph winds (we are forecasted to have severe storms all week...ugh)

I actually wish my truck was NA...it's one less thing I have to worry about breaking.
I've more or less decided that when my turbo dies I'm going to replace it with a normal exhaust setup and just run NA
UPS was delayed. Originally, my filters were scheduled to be delivered yesterday. I had planned on changing the filters this morning and then taking it in for the oil change this afternoon. Since UPS had a delay, I went ahead and did the oil today and will do the filters when they arrive...
Today I went to a local diesel shop and had them drain/refill the oil in the truck. Tomorrow my new oil filters, coolant filters, and coolant filter mount should arrive (assuming UPS is on the ball).
Unfortunately UPS delivers to my area between 6-8pm so I'll have to wait until next week to...
I just placed an order for a coolant filter base, 2 coolant filters, and 2 oil filters. My next days off are going to be M35A2 maintenance days....no better way to enjoy some days off.
when you do your greasing, do you just do a few squirts per zerk or do you fully push out all the old grease? I do a mix of both depending on I feel that day
