So if Chris shifts into 6th at 65mph then with 3.90 it should shift int 6th around 50mph and maybe set the cruise at 55mph for optimal fuel efficiency.
I’m having to pull the front axle shafts out to replace the axle housing seals. I definitely never want to do this again and I have the 3.90...
I'm removing my drive shafts to replace all the U joints and see that my rear transfer case out put is leaking. Found the part for front and rear # 2950336.
Anyone have a good source for these? I came a vender for $260 each but no picture and the description is not accurate.
Also has any...
Forgot to mention it’s a 3126 tuned to 330hp and 27,700 lbs.
Realizing all the unknowns keep it simple and pretend flat ground at sea level and a steady 60 mph with 85-90psi. Optimal conditions.

Edit: the lmtv parts spread sheet has that part number.... is it supposed to be 5-279X?
Ok back to this job looming over my head. I've purchased ECO Hubs to do as well. Now the total job is going to be the 4 axel seals #59 & 9 two of each, front and rear pinion seals, change front and rear third members from current 3.07 gears to go back to 3.90 gears, reinstall rear locker into...
Crappy eco friendly rubber, I had 60 year old rubber on my restored M38A1 that was still in almost perfect condition. I road it on 1951 tires with new tubes. But the tires were still flexible.
A friend was wrapping up a long cross country trip from eastern US to western US, round trip in his converted 2007 LMTV expedition vehicle. He had a major rear main seal failure, causing him to tow it home the last 150 miles or so.
Its got me thinking of what can we do to all of our main seals...
