That material used to be called unistrut back in thew day (but then I'm an old man that's been out of circulation some):

Redwood lumber is still available?!
Being a Certified Old F***, I recall when local (D.C.) lumberyards all had redwood (common as the SPF boards that everybody carries).
I don't see that lumber much anymore, and figured that we had abused our privilege to see it...
I was just wondering how you plumb up something as big and heavy as those barn poles, when I noticed something:
- Some of your poles are round and some are squared off
Does that make it harder to line up everything to carry your "purlins" (or whatever you barn builders call the "stretchers")?
It broke my heart (and my bank account), but I write it all off as the cost of my education:
- These trucks can't just be gassed up and driven (as I had +/- hoped)
- They are heirlooms that require devotion and care (more than I had to offer)
- I wanted a work truck that I could put on the...
