ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

If you like, you can send me your ECM and I can flash it to 330 HP and make all the changes for pulse per mile and cruise enable, etc. Can also clone the ECM if you want to carry a spare. CAT generally can't or won't do that with a used ECM and new ones for the 3126 are crazy expensive from...

    Cab Latch / Latching plate

Broke a 1/2" extension doing mine. Breaker bar and a cheater pipe and some swearing. Fortunately my truck was a Kuwait/TX stationed truck and a 2008 so most of my problems are related to mud dobbers and the two dust bowls she lives in. Very little actual rust. I pity the guy that has an A0...

    Cab Latch / Latching plate

Might be ok for a short time. They have an expiration for good reasons. I wouldn't bother with them personally. That means they were made in 2009 most likely. Like old tires they will disintegrate surprisingly quickly once they start seeing use and flex, etc. Gotta love the surplus scalpers...

    Cab Latch / Latching plate

How old are they? They have a hard and fast shelf life due to their construction. They will turn soft and gummy. If you can press your fingernail into the material and it leaves a permanent imprint they are trash. I see "new old stock" one's being sold that are absolutely trash. And others...

    Cab Latch / Latching plate

You need an additional set of the cab support bushings - the A1R stack up uses the same bushings as the front of the cab. I had new one's made by one of the original manufacturers. I have sets for sale. $175 shipped per set. A1R needs two sets and you'll end up with one spare thick bushing. With...

    Niehoff N3030 Regulator/ M1078/ doesn't have flashing light capacity

The manual switch doesn't function any different than the disconnect relay. At least in the stock configuration the LBCD is designed to allow the batteries to be disconnected from the charging circuit and *not* cause a spike that nukes the electronics from orbit. Of course if you have deleted...

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

The ECM will throw a silent code for that sensor with the 330 map. Not sure how necessary it actually is - probably just some kind of minor altitude fuel trim for emissions. I've never had anyone say they noticed a difference with or without it. As you go up in power, more fuel is required and...

Does Anyone Have the Diagram for Dual battery WITH the Disconnect

Your disconnect relay or it's interconnecting wirings is probably shot. It's actually TWO relays in one unit - one for 12 and one for 24. And they are "latching" relays so when they change state they stay that way without power applied. Sounds like your 12v relay or the control wires to it have...

Does Anyone Have the Diagram for Dual battery WITH the Disconnect

Is your cover missing the metal data plate?

    Niehoff N3030 Regulator/ M1078/ doesn't have flashing light capacity

4 AWG is roughly good for 75 amps. Could be higher or lower depending on rating but being mil spec it's probably 90C rated copper which is actually like 95 amp rated. If you want to be safe then re-purpose the 12v lead to the panel for one of the Victrons and just hook it to 24v instead.

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

The pressure spec doesn't tell the entire story since it doesn't say if that's gauge pressure or absolute pressure - referenced to sea level or referenced to outer space...... but seems like it's certainly gauge pressure given the max reading. CAT changes part numbers like most people change...

    FMTV Highway Speed

The Allison transmission computer doesn't know or care what your over the road speed is. There is no programming required for gear ratio or tire size changes. The speedo is controlled by the engine computer not the transmission computer. It's going to downshift when you floor it if you are...

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

Here's what the TM shows - both of the sensors are referred to as " SENSOR,MANIFOLD ABS" :cautious: 🤷‍♂️ Definitely would be good to figure out the exact part number for you 3126b guys. I just tell customers to go to CAT and give them a 330 HP serial number off an engine sticker from a...

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

Yeah the TM is not super clear on which one is which. Ultimately it's best to order it from CAT with the serial number of a 330 HP engine, etc.

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

TM shows it as a 194-6723

    Transmission Temp gauge

True. Soon to be in the minority though since all trucks from late '99 on are fully setup for J1939/J1708 coms. After 1999 all trucks have busses. And your WTEC II has some kind of live data though I'm not sure if it's J1708 compatible..... the diagrams just say serial communication and I...

    3126 CAT ECU MODS

It's a piggyback - it sits between the engine sensors and the ECM. It tells the ECM that the fuel pressure is lower than it actually is, so the ECM will command a higher fuel pressure thinking it's too low. This creates additional wear and tear on the fuel system that is now running a higher...

    Transmission Temp gauge

Trans temp is monitored by the TCM and there's a light for over-temp in the annunciator panel. The data is also on the CANBUS so if you install something like the Bluefire dongle, etc you can display trans temp on a tablet or phone. These trucks have pretty good transmission cooling and huge...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

Go back to 3.90's. The 3.07's don't realize the full potential fuel economy gains. Neither do the 3.90's but no one makes 4.50's (yet 🤞). 3.07 vs 3.90 - seems to be about 1 mpg difference. The 3.07's are on the wrong side of the bell curve for fuel economy and performance.

    6TL AGM source?

Right. Everyone in this forum must consider that, unfortunately, since S&S didn't. It boggles my mind that my CUCV from 1984 has twice (200A) as much alternator(s), half as much battery (two 6TL's or two GRP 31's), and predates the FMTV's by a decade. The DOD should have made S&S fix them at...
