Ahhh, then there's been a big misunderstanding on my part. I was assuming a decommissioning. Then the page I linked is probably out of date. Especially if I understand thedrive's article correctly. Too bad it is not clear when the article is from.
Okay, if AM Generel continues to produce and...
I must have expressed myself imprecisely.
I don't mean the vehicle as an individual, I mean the system.
If I am interpreting this correctly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humvee_replacement_process) then the HMMWV as a system is dead for both the Army and the USMC. No more new orders after...
I've had a question for some time.
From my German/Swiss point of view, a vehicle that is taken out of service is removed from active service.
It may still be used in non-critical areas, but no longer in active service in front (near) areas.
This also has something to do with the supply of...
No... i had to wash the wind shield during the rain. And so the rainwater mixed with the washer fluid.
The bubbles are a nice side effect.
The water ingress was so strong that there was a small pond in the frame in front of the pane. And I soaked my left leg every time I made a right turn.
Reliability depends solely on the condition of the vehicle. And this depends on the quality of maintenance and parts.
I know that mine is 100% in order, so I trust it to do what you describe three times over.
Yesterday i removed my front windows and sealed it in again with Dirko. I know, thats not the way it should be, but i had a lot of water the last days in my car and i had to stop this now!
here in combination with the washer fluid
So i sealed the glas into the rubber sealing and placed a...
Is this construction realistic? It seems to me that he has simply tinkered with everything he could get his hands on.
The Gatling on the door makes no sense to me. Too heavy, questionable ammunition supply. Freedom of movement for the shooter behind the door too.
So heavily armed and then no...
If the target Market is the military market, i'm in. Mainly for the reasons you mentioned.
But in this case i hav to ask why to choose a outdated paltform!
And so we are back to a pure feasibility study or marketing stunt.
I seriously ask myself why!
We don't move the vehicles much after all. Even I use it as a dayli but don't get more than 20k miles a year.
So why deprive the truck of all its charging capacity? To install an unnecessarily complicated 12V system only to fail due to the fundamental ineffectiveness...
A friend of mine heats with wood. But as the road to his wood yard is in about the same state as the front in the Ukraine due to the snowfall of the last few days, I helped him.
No chance of getting there with a normal vehicle, like my RAM or Durango.
But the view from there was great... from...
First snow for us this year. And since I, as a wise, foresighted man, didn't manage to get winter tires for my wife's car in time, I had to take our daughter to school today.
The total distance is 1 hour and the damn fan heater went out again in the middle.
The mirrors are no worse than the whole HMMWV itself ;-)
But they may be, but I find modern mirrors as out of place as carbon stripes.
Okay, in this case the paintwork of the truck is already different and doesn't claim to be original.
nice work, but why?!
Do they really look better to you? I don't think this modern plastic style suits the HMMWV.
I mean, you only have half doors anyway. So the view of the original mirrors is not impaired.
Please measure the output voltage directly at the 24V-12V converter.
If this supplies enough with the charger connected and too little without it, then the batteries are probably screwed. Please measure both batteries individually.
