Good luck with that rain!! I looked at your pics on my laptop and it looks like there is a wire coming from the battery to the block above the gp relay already. You can run a wire from it to the top of your gp relay. You can see that in my pic. I used the original fusible link wire off the...
I never noticed a hole in the card!! Great to know! That would make it very easy to remove. The one I just put in my sons 09 is very tight and wanted to try a different card but it fought me coming out.
Yes...I'm thinking that wire off the block should be 24 volts...which is wrong you need 12...the wire coming off the battery will give you 12 volts. You might have fried glow plugs with 24 volts going to them as well. Maybe that wire goes in yo the block to feed 24 volts to the relay it would be...
Ok, I'll try and remember all the parts you got goin on! First that wire by the alternator goes to a sensor in the head that looks like it is plugged right now...very front side by the injector. I'll hunt that part number out. The wire running to the glow plug relay is interesting...comes from...
Well that is your starter bracket for the front of it. Extremely important to bolt that back in there. Suggest you don't try to start it to much with that not in there. I'd check your starter bolts to make sure one didn't break or are loose. Probably be a good idea to pop new bolts in it. Real...
We're guessing school...he parks in the back since he's a night student. Work is wide open with cameras so we don't think there. Hoping some kid drives in with it mounted to his truck. They can be that stupid.

Yeah someone really wanted it bad! I bolted it on there with 3/8 ×16 grade 8 bolts with a lock washer and got them very tight. His truck didn't come with one but I found one on marketplace. We're gonna weld the nuts on the new one.

So it's happened, but I still don't get it. Someone stole my sons weight plate off his blazer he drives every day. I bolted that on about 6 months ago. We watched some videos of places he's been and go back a week and can see it's not there, so we have no idea when or where it got taken. So it's...
Mine acts like that in the summer...it clicks on for about 15 seconds and the light goes out. Right now I am at 37 degrees so now the light stays on longer and once it starts I get a few after glows...I don't think the after glows happen over 70 degrees I think. If you used to get those I'd...
Nope that's normal...use the other battery for your ground and you'll find the real volts for that one alternator...29 volts total running is good!! Glad it's fixed.
So you got fuel coming out of the fuel filter but still trying to get it to come out of the hard lines at each injector. I just went through this last week. Got an engine running that hadn't run since 97. Start with fully charged batteries. I opened 2 on each side and did 15 second turn over...
I have 275 gallons of filtered cooking oil I have set up to turn into fuel if I ever need it. I have access to all the used oil I want at this time just haven't run down that hole yet since it's easier to do cooking oil than used engine oil. Plus it's cleaner to deal with.
Have had some good progress on the 2nd 1009 the last week. Got wheels and a tail gate painted and tires installed. The spare tire mount installed and the tail gate bolted on. Inside looks really nice. The lizard skin noise control in the back and the heat in the front should make this one easy...
Ok I zoomed in on your pic of the alternator and it looks like your pin un screwed itself...all I see coming out is thread...don't hook that up to anything. Be on the left side of the alternator you can see the threads sticking out. You test volts on that regulator yet?

If you look at the back of the alternator there's a pin that sticks out...it pops onto that. It goes to the big round connector under the dash for diagnostic stuff. That plug in your hand looks like it's a fat purple wire? It looks like the starter solenoid wire but not sure! I assume the...
I'ts odd to add a bunch of power wires to go under the hood off the fuse box when there is a perfect place under the hood to hook to. Cutting up the fuse box is something I'll never do. That looks like a several hour job just to figure out what they did. I feel for the guy that ends up...
