That is the TV cable and needs to be unhooked from the FI Pump/throttle. It and the cable stays with the transmission. That is the manual kickdown cable. Your new one is electronic.
The hardest part about posting on a forum is the lack of voice inflection. The text could be read many ways but the intent can easily be mistaken. In my opinion, it didn't seem like anyone was bent out of shape or had any bad intentions. I think RWH only meant to clarify his post, not attack...
I opted to go with the EVC designed nut but would have been perfectly fine with the original locking tab as well. They give a bit more positive locking than the original tab lock IN MY OPINION. Having used locking tabs in many applications for years, the part I never liked is it relies on just...
I thought you were asking for "thoughts", my mistake.
I don't think I am "hard of noticing" but the obvious stuff you pointed out doesn't seem as obvious to me. Was just giving you my "thoughts".
"before what?" ... before posting on here or anywhere without even giving the vendor a chance to...
I would have called HPG and asked them first.
I'm not an expert on HMMWV glow plugs but here's what I notice. There doesn't seem to be any signs glow plug wires were attached... no scratches or scrapes that likely would occur from the wire. The Hexes don't show signs of use really. The...
Download the manual https://www.hummerpartsguy.com/TECH-MANUAL-HMMWV-VEHICLE-A0-A1-A2-NON-TURBO-PARTS_p_27791.html
Check out page 282. Your code for anything in that manual should be NNN
Very old style. Wil not work for you.

The least expensive new one I could find ....

Yes and no. I wear the Bose noise canceling headset to dampen the noise and to talk to my passenger. After years of mistreating my ears at concerts I have a constant ringing in my ears that is deafening when trying to go to sleep. I would LOVE for my Humvee to be quitter but I also know that...
The guy mentioned he had 3 Avengers... as it turns out he has another set of data plates and they are now listed on ebay. He probably realized someone might be looking for them after I said I bought it just for the data plate. I am really lucky he threw in the other one as well. I am also...
As I stated in a previous post about the Avenger data plates, I keep an eye out for Avenger related items. It's a rare occasion that anything comes up. Recently I came across another Avenger part, the hatch (official term unknown by me). I've toyed with the idea of building a mock Avenger...
This is truly my favorite extractor set. I have used them for many years on so many different stuck, stripped, frozen and broken bolts over the years. The key is to make sure you slide the nut on all the way to the stuck bolt. Congrats on your extraction.
Go to Tractor Supply and buy a thick rubber floor mat you find near the front doors. Usually 4' X 3', then cut it up to fit. Just a thought...

This is the answer. I was going to link exactly the same tool. You have to use it right. Drill to the correct size. Then tap the extractor in with a brass hammer. Then slide the hex tool on the extractor. MAKE SURE IT IS SLID ON ALL THE WAY TO THE STUCK DRAIN PLUG. It is extremely...
When I did mine it didn't move 1/8" and didn't have any problem and that was after building a custom support for the engine. Bolted the custom support on just in case and never needed to be there.
One, you're pounding on the pulley and it has nothing to due with the fan clutch. STOP beating your pulley.
Here are the posts from my stuck fan clutch. If yours is anything like mine.... well, no amount of beating will help...
