Try here they look like they have some MIL stuff you can search by: https://www.newark.com/amphenol-industrial/ms3102e20-17s/circular-connector-receptacle/dp/22M1370
I hear you. I made an "interrupter" harness for the M939A2 CTIS system so I could break it out and talk to it. Same type of stuff. You should be able to cross reference and find the proper nomenclature. It was a lark as I was typing the number there were "C" parts.... Some of this is NOT very...
Wow thanks. The M1082 is EXACTLY what I would be looking for! Height is about right, length isn't too long (I live in the mountains), drop side bed, air brakes.
And.... there's ONE for sale in AZ that's 680 miles away from me. Dangit. It's like I live in a "dry state" for this stuff!
This is super helpful. Thanks. Doing a search for sold A3's only turns up 2 from GovPlanet in different parts of the country (in the last year). The A2's are much more accessible. Speaking of price I neglected to mention that is a big factor. As you pointed out they are going for rather stupid...
Well I used my truck the other day to go work on the M543A2 I'm retrieving and wound up using binder chains to strap 5 rims/tires to the boom to take home so I could paint the rims and change the tires. So there's a start. I also use the wrecker to hoist logs and whatnot. So there's another...
So I'm looking for a trailer. Why? Because my M936A2 wrecker has no space! Sure I can lift stuff but where the heck do I put it? I'm leaning towards the M105A2 due to price point and (apparently) fairly common parts. I'll also use it with an M35A2, an M817 or a M542A2. Any reasons to save up for...
I'm going to guess it's an air actuated throttle raising device switched from the rear deck engagement lever. This lever at the cab side of the drag winch (on the crane deck) would also actuate the clutch pedal defeat cylinder. Upon engagement it would disengage the clutch pedal and throttle the...

They issue titles. It was a made up excuse to deny people. I think somebody finally sued them. I have an M936A2, M817, M542A2 and M35A2 all with titles. Three of them historical plated. The M817 actually has a VIN "USMCxxxxxx" on the title which is really cool.
There are some other tricks...
That.... is a lot of work! Envious of your progress.
Are you all going by hand or is this a combination of blasting, DA sander and hand? Would like to see pictures of your mess. I think my work area is similar and I have similar things on the long list so am curious to steal your methods. All...
Not yet. I need to replace the slew bearing on mine so if you beat me to it will be interested in how it goes. I suggest keeping it around for a re-install I'm finding mine pretty handy. Though a short boom you can get in some pretty tight spots with that truck. Also I've hung a snatch on the...
CA did that for a long time. No 17 digit VIN then no road title. It was a thing. Obviously any vehicle before that requirement would then be illegal. Stupid logic....
Now it's not their thing. Don't know why. Figure somebody sued them into being sensible? HMMWV's are for sure their thing...
My advice....
Get your VT plates and title. Transfer to your state. If they push back ask them if they are not doing state reciprocity. If they say they aren't, or if they get to discriminate, take down the names of the officials document the event be obvious about it. Then get all your paper...
Air actuated clutch release (defeat?) cylinder. Operated from rear deck just forward of drag winch to engage/disengage crane/winch hydraulic drive. Little fuzzy on it as I've just started goofing with mine. The controls on the deck have this clutch pedal defeat item, power divide to winch or...
The over speed is set for the tire pressure you are at. Each mode (HWY, XCNTRY, SAND) has an overspeed setting. So it could be a bunch of stuff. Like maybe your tires aren't inflated to HWY? Speed sensor, ECU, software..... Check your tire pressure first. Maybe then pressure transducer (tells...
Thread in the sub forum someplace. I replied to it maybe search my posts with CTIS in the subject. IIRC it was 98G that did all the footwork on the parts. I then ordered them and made a breakout cable with the pins I needed then wired them to the correct plug. It's a 26 pin male and female (same...
My experience is only with the M939A2 system so take this with a grain of salt.....
Suprman is correct what he's alluding to is the speedo pickup. There's a generator that sends a signal to the CTIS system. Make sure that's working correctly. Every inflation pressure has an overspeed warning...
