    5 ton axles ratio

Which way are you looking to go? More freeway friendly or lower gears for off road use? The 6.44's are pretty standard, there are some lower gears but they are very rare, something like 8 to 1 and 10 to 1 but you really wouldn't want to try to find 3 sets and swap them out if they are going into...

Are Runflats worth trying to save???

I can tell you that I gave up trying to get mine out in one piece. I ended up using a chainsaw from the inside of the run flat and a sawzall from the top side of the run flat and I cut them apart then pulled them out with a chain.

Possibility of using the winch hydraulics to run bed hoist.

Has anyone done this? I have a 923 with all the winch controls but no winch and thought a dump bed would be a great use of these unused hydraulics.

    M931 as a farm semi?

Hey Adam, ya that's Andy's place he is a good guy to deal with. Yes that was me you got the motor from too. If you go the 931 route I have one I will sell reasonably, I had big plans for it but I never followed through on it so I will be selling it.

Bent drive shaft. Anybody know the RPM's?

Are you running a one piece shaft that you lengthened from a stock one or are you running a hanger bearing. I'm guessing your wheelbase is longer so I was just curious. It should be able to handle any RPM's your deuce can throw at it. We run deuce driveshafts in our mud truck and our motors spin...

    GL middle man?

I've done it before for a guy who wanted 2 more trucks like the one he bought from me and didn't want to hassle with GL.

Check List Before buying M939 variant trucks.

If you hook a 21K GVWR trailer behind it then it is. I was referring to MN laws since the OP is from here.

Check List Before buying M939 variant trucks.

This is not true, they look at what it is rated for by the manufacturer not what you rate it at.

Check List Before buying M939 variant trucks.

I found out the hard way with a ticket, it doesn't matter how it is used if it is over 26,000 GVWR it requires a CDL. If it is for personal use you just don't need a health card or DOT number.

Check List Before buying M939 variant trucks.

Yes MN does require a CDL to operate a 5 ton

    hemat trailer

Personally I would never own one, unless it was going to be strictly for parades. I am storing one at my place that is not mine and they are a PIA to move around. Near impossible to back up and the only thing they would be good to haul is palletized items or something lifted in from above with a...
