Well... It isn't great, but at least it is better. Now if your local utility company has no juice coming to your house, I would bet that Wife won't be nearly as unhappy as she is right now.
Have you considered using springs for vibration isolation?

Had a guy I went to high school with that had a crash. Wooden aftermarket wheel on his car. Broken wood with splinters in his gut and chest made me a believer in having a factory wheel... My buddy is even more hard core about keeping his plastic and steel in his vehicles!

@TechnoWeenie .
You may have already posted it - but where did you find the Code Reader?
And the silly question is does it come with a Super Secret Decoder Ring to know what those numbers mean?

Welcome to the Outfit!
Glad to hear that you are the new proud owner of your very own Deuce... Be sure to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your truck. Is it a manual or an automatic? Have you started checking it out yet? Things like differential oil levels, inspecting the "dog...

Opinions are like other parts of the anatomy where everyone has one...
BUT you mentioned "The seller is not cooperative." and if he/she isn't cooperative my opinion is that they know nothing about the hardware other than the name and what they could web search for a price. It may work and...

So, it sounds to me like you have already metered the wires and I saw "visual inspection" too. If you happen to have a spool of 14 gauge wire, what about going out back and disconnecting the sending unit, add attach your new wire, then go back behind the "panel" and hook the other end of your...

I believe it's a different guy. The JerryRigEverything had a HMMWV in the videos that I found. The member here is @Johnbyrdgates and his is a M37. I found his build thread here.
Below is a picture of the motor with the standard M37 transmission behind it.
.
Ahhh... Makes more sense. Guess I should have read a little more. We do have a member here with a M37 who got a tesla motor and battery affixed and he has that functional.
Yessir, EV power and performance can be amazing. Personally, my opinion is that our electrical grid isn't ready for...

I only have hearsay, but the IBEW electricians in the civilian Hummer plant tell me that they are building electric vehicles there... No info was discussed about how many but they are setting up a line to produce them.
.
Wow! At that rate then, California should be using that baked clay material to help combat the fires there. I had always thought that the terracotta roofs - keeping embers off the roof - was the reason WHY those roofs were used.
Thanks for the info @SSgt Bang !
.
@Mogman did even better than I did. If you can find the wire tag (little aluminum band - with a number on it) you can test the gauge with his instructions. Still need to meter out the wire that runs from the gauge to the tank too.
.
You have good logic. The only thing you might do is to follow the tank sending unit wire to both ends. One should end up attached to the fuel tank and the other end should attach to the gauge. Disconnect on both ends and use a continuity meter and confirm that the wire is good.
That is the...

Remember too - like @Guyfang mentioned - The military has absolutely NO CONCERN with stencils being different on a machine. Stencils are hand punched on a machine (generally) and if a stencil cutter dies, a new one is ordered or "lifted" from some other shop and that becomes the spec.
.
Steel Wool stuffed onto openings will help with that problem as well. Apparently the little "so and so's" don't like to chew on the wire. That stuff is relatively cheap at a hardware store too...
.
And something possibly to do with the color of blue on rooftops possibly?
Seems like some places were completely wiped out, and others weren't touched.
