Looking for pubs for the Dragoon

True....... But...... Designed by the same folks, after they broke out on their own. Built with a diesel instead of Gasoline Engine in order to satisfy the Military's desire for Diesel Engines. And they added enough tweaks, so as not to be sued by their former employers for patent...

    Interesting Sight at Ft. Polk

Sorry, should have clarified. The ATV's were in the DRMO yard, next to their main bldg. Picts are allowed there. And I asked the GL lady working with me, she confirmed they came back from Afghanistan. She also said they'd been used by JRTC after getting back here.

    Interesting Sight at Ft. Polk

Was at Ft. Polk yesterday making a pick up, and saw an interesting sight. (didn't have my camera with me,,, Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa) Lined up against the wall of their building at DRMO, there were 20+ 4 wheelers, various Manufacturers, all with standard civilian colors. Most looked to be be...

    2016 TX MV Rally

Planning on being there with Carlos. At a minimum, will bring M1010 Ambulance and Carlos's M-Gator.

    Atv id

Agreed. The Brits have one for their ATV's that is about 1/2 that height. They also come with Detachable lunettes, of different sizes, and even a ball hitch. All that being said...... I still want one of the U.S. ones. Sigh, 1 more thing to put on a wish list.

    2nd Gator Up and Running

NDT, my apologies, I was reading your question, while carrying on a phone conversation at the same time, and mis-read it, as you having had a John Deere Dealer Advising you not to buy. (I have trouble walking and chewing gum as well)

A gathering of CUCV's and an empty garage.

OOOOOhhhhhhhh Feeling the jealousy build within me. Not so much for the number of vehicles you have (but there is that too), but at you're being able to keep them all in one place without the hate of the HOA. One of my fantasies, is to have all of ours including the Dragoon APC parked in...

    2nd Gator Up and Running

Negative. This unit came out of Ft. Polk. We have a pretty good history on this unit, which is why we (I) decided to Salvage it vs Scrap it. Your friend gave you VERY good advice. The mechanical/Engine repair work was done by a friend of mine in his spare time (He IS a John Deer Mek-a-Nek). I...

    I'm going CRAZY

I'm with "TINSTAR". Had the exact same problem. Eventually, after adding a 2nd in-line filter, exactly like CUCVLOVER suggests, we dropped the tank, flushed it out, completely flushed and replaced the fuel lines. Problem solved. (Fuel sock in tank was absolutely covered in sludge.)

    2nd Gator Up and Running

Well...... after 18 months of on again, off again, work, our 2nd M-Gator is up and running. (Big Sigh) We completely rebuilt the engine, New Belts, Hoses, & Chain. New Fuel Injector, New Fuel Pump, New Water Pump, New Transmission, All New tires, New Brakes, New Seats, New Plastic Fenders, New...

    Our NEWEST project: M1010 Ambulance

Rusty, the man who did the Chaplain's display did an absolutely beautiful job. I feel that my pictures didn't do his display justice. He is an actual chaplain for a Police Department here in Texas.

    Our NEWEST project: M1010 Ambulance

Mountie, as you can see from this thread..... We've had a lot of fun, and a lot of work with this one. It truly is a labor of love. A word of warning, our unit came from a Texas National Guard unit, who used it for Airport duties. So we believe the low mileage on the odometer is actual. BUT even...

    M1010 Interior color

Sorry to hear about the water you did get. But compared to what's goin on, on the other side of 45 we're definitely blessed. Supposedly the rain guage at the HS on Spring Cypress, they're up to 19.5 in since Sunday Night. Guage here at the house sez a little over 14. Hopefully you won't need...

    M1010 Interior color

Greetings reaper. Hope you're high and dry like we are. We're over here outside Old Town, and not a problem, other than power loss on Mon. I know what the manuals and GM specs say. And I was a medic, not in the motor pool. HOWEVER, I went in, in 1980. And when we got our very 1st M1010's...

    Our NEWEST project: M1010 Ambulance

Not sure if we'll make Temple. I'll talk to Carlos and see what his plans are. If he goes, I'll probably go. I knew I had taken someone's usual spot, but when we got there, there was un-certainty as to how many vehicles Lone Star was going to have there, so we had to reserve the spaces along...

    M1010 Interior color

Ummmm, Guys??? I think the point of the original question was missed. He said the DASH. Not door panels or seats. While the seats and door panels were Burgundy, my experience in using these vehicles from 84 to 88, was that the DASH was a grey color in the early models, and a black color in later...

    Our NEWEST project: M1010 Ambulance

Our second showing was this past weekend at Camp Mabry in Austin, for Muster Day. On the drive up, we didn't have any problems with DPS, but I met up with 2 National Guard Vehicles outside of Camp Swift. They were also going to Mabry, but didn't know how to get there. So we convoyed in. Our...

    Our NEWEST project: M1010 Ambulance

Well,,,,, I finally have the M1010 restored to the point that we decided it was time to make it's public debut. It's first event was at the museum of the G.I. Of course one is never fully happy with their own work. There are always things we think of that we should have done to tweak the...
