No I had / bought NOS wheels both Hemtt and combat from GL and they came with new distorted nuts in the bags with O rings. If I ever needed to service the wheel I would order new distorted nuts. Lucky no problems with any of my wheel so far and I think I have a full set of distorted nuts...
Broke out the trusty TM's. Guess you have to also know if you have a mix and match booster pump. Troubleshooting manual shows the first LDS had no over pressure valve in the secondary fuel filter block. Looks like they put it in the booster pump. Then they put the over pressure in the fuel...
GunFreak page 24 line K right hand side LDS 465 trouble shooting manual. If you are talking about the booster pump pressure valve then it needs to be correct. You will see it starts to open at 60 psi then return pressure back to inlet side of booster pump. Now if you are talking about the system...
Just wondering if you torque number could be off since you are running down distorted nuts as they require a lot more torque just to run down. Now if it was regular nuts it would be easy to use torque wrench. Last time I used my one inch M18 fuel set on #4 plenty of oil and no problems and never...
Well glad you got it figured. You did throw us off with saying new filters so some of us dig right in with other things that could be wrong and it was just filters / tank sealer. Guess the first post about what is wrong should be change all filters and see if that is the problem. Yea the stuff...
Yea the asphaltenes were sitting on the bottom of my tank. I reached in the bottom of tank and scooped some up with my finger and as said it is like tar very sticky. It can get into the whole fuel delivery system. Reading up on fuel pressures the fuel rail pressure has to come up pretty quick...
Is the black algae more like tar/ candy taffy? I used FuelOx for Asphaltenes on my MTV fuel tank with great results. Now just for my own curiosity sounds like you hooked up a pressure gage after the fuel pump / governor and did a running pressure check. With all the check valves would seem like...
I would think that a pressure drop when the motor starts on your in line pump would be normal. Would seem like the inline pump since it has restriction from filter / lines and booster pump it will build pressure. Now engine starts and booster kicks in and restrictions become much less and in...
M35A3 Fuel Pump/Prime Issue | SteelSoldiers . You said you checked the check valve under the fitting on the Governor and it was not there. Post 12 shows the check valve out and where it is.
Corrected my post about the secondary fuel filter on the Deuce was thinking about the FMTV's. Been a long time since I have seen / sold mine in the A3. Correct me if I am wrong the 3116 in the Deuce did not have the primary fuel filter with primer ball system but could the Deuce 3116 be up...
Believe it was member Gunfreak thread had trouble like that. His was the IP booster pump. The over pressure valve on the secondary if it opens can cause a loss of fuel pressure if it opens when running also.
Believe it was Fuzzytoster had a thread. He took off the line and fitting on the Governor that fed the fuel filter. Behind the fitting was a check valve if I remember.
Yea that is one nice machine and as they say " old Harleys never die they just go faster" I will go with microjeep this month. If his was not on the vote I would have again voted for yours.
If you do a search as I forget where the thread was but there was a mod. Member had FDC bypassed and rigged up a cable control on the FDC servo piston. It could adjust fuel on the fly. To bad there is not more space between the main fuel control and the Head. The stud of the main fuel control is...
Well I made the mistake of turning in my blue antique tag I had on the 1088. Then I decided to tag it again years later with the blue antique tag but they said now I have to get it inspected and get the former military tag and branded title. I believe if you tell them it is a military truck then...
Correct me if Iam wrong as forgetting everything. If we just hook up service air that will not fill the air tanks ( remember correct me if I am wrong ) then drain the air tanks if they are holding air and check to see if sprag cylinder / poppets are holding it's pressure. As said reverse to...
Yea believe he could have made a better choice on the MV to take. At least if he took a tank his ride would have been a lot longer but maybe same jail time.
