Looks great. Always loved the M939 series nose.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Anytime. There's a lot of good people in the MV hobbyist community, I met a couple good friends thanks to Wtwel Soldiets. One ended up being my first college roommate, I kid you not. I know it sounds cliche but if you just need someone to talk to, PM me.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

My condolences. These trucks are like people- you should find some solace there. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Good to know. If I'm rich enough that isn't too horrible for once a year getting to go play. Otherwise, fear not, the truck would be meticulously maintained.

    Flea's M923A2

She's beautiful! I like the solid green. Curious to hear how hear able the radio is when driving though.

Yeah, curious, what other maintenance will be required? If you don't mind, keep me posted on the costs (feel free to PM me if you'd rather not mention it out in the open)

I think I'd go right before fluid change time anyway, so there's no excuse for being lazy and not changing fluids. Same with tire changes and hybrids.

Just gotta be able to pull em out, and do the maintenance afterward.

Or several, since you have an XLWB. Definitely gonna have to go car crushing with mine. I also want to go have fun in the muck.

Or within the borders! Can't wait to crush a few hybrids with my 5 ton. I'd also like to go off road and play in the mud, but I'd get another one to wheel, not live in. Suggestions for my first time taking it off-road, what to watch for? (Feel free to PM me if you prefer)

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Cape Coastie, she looks great. I'm possibly acquiring an '84 M923 myself.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That's beautiful. Red, white, blue, and woodland camo. Can't get much more American than a 5 ton.

Yeah, for me not much beats a M939 series 5 ton: Big, heavy, off-road beast that will go anywhere except maybe muskeg and do just about anything, and if taken care of will run forever. I truly hope to someday be a grumpy old guy still driving an M939 around when everyone else has self driving...

No offense taken :) I will definitely be checking with the DMV on what criteria they insist upon for making it into an R/V or tiny home conversion. Of course I can't be exactly certain without checking with my own state (Alaska) but from what I've heard of other people's conversions there's...

Hello Misfits, new guy from Tx here.

Welcome to Steel Soldiers! Yes, it's a slippery slope; I almost overnight from wanting a stock Deuce as a mud truck to wanting to daily drive one or an M939 series 5 ton. 98G here can tell you I almost bought a M927A2 as my first vehicle. 98G, is that the Deuce you picked up this spring?

Yeah, and for me it's what can I do to justify owning one of these?
