I will lump in. I need a case of paint picked up from Gimpy and delivered closer to Michigan. He brought up Monkeyboyarmy but you are no closer than he is. I need it closer than driving to Gimpys house in Cinci. I am near Ann Arbor.
Just like Lane (citizensoldier) to buy something big and...
I will pile on. It is a five ton M818. You can tell by the battery boxes, long fenders, spare tire mounting, Wheels etc. :deadhorse:
The carrier is M818 specific. The cargo truck M800 series have the tire mounted in the bed at the front. The M900 series cargo Five ton has space in front of the...
It would not be a Kaiser Jeep but could be a Reo, Curtis Wright, Packard, or Studebaker Depending. They are all early makes. Kaiser bought out Reo to start making the Kaiser-Jeep brand of M35's.
It is not for public release and I don't think it is posted for that reason. Some have it but I doubt it would be posted. I still am looking for someone to send me a copy.
This brings up a good point that people sometimes forget. These trucks were accepted by the military in 1984 and part of the contract was not to do the yearly upgrades for the parts. A 1986 cucv will be built with 1984 spec parts. Even the correct T harness did not work correctly for me. I had...

Waterborne comes in two types. Type 1 and type 2. They go on basically the same. Two parts color to one part catalyst and reduced with distilled or...
You have to get a stand along transmission computer. Not sure of your exact setup but they are available to put computer transmissions on non-computer cars.
There are no 6 cylinder cucvs. Their might be a contract blazer that is not an M series vehicle but I do not think any full size blazers from that era ever came with a 6 cylinder.
The military tested the digital camo of vehicles in the 80's or 90's but stayed with three color. David Doyle had an article on this in MVM or Army Motors and it had pics from the period. It was experimental only and was used in Europe IIRC. This was way before ACU were even thought of.
You can also carefully sand off the paint on the bumper. Record the different numbers and letters from the various levels of paint. This will tell you the units the vehicle was assigned to. You can then research the unit designations or post here for help in decoding the designations.
Your kidding right? No spark on a diesel. Air leak into the fuel line or bad injection pump is my guess. A bad boost pump might be a problem also. Once the engine is warm it will usually start without glow plugs.
They had to use the compressors for the air ride because the air ride computer was inside the compressor pack. It was needed for the automatic adjustment. They automatically adjust to keep the same ride height with different loads. I would rather have the computer do it rather than having to...
