I got one from Kublos a couple of years ago. NOS for about $75 IIRC. I had a gasser shaft and figured switching mine over and getting new Ujoints did not make sense at that price.
I am working on my last gallon of green water cure carc. I got it from Sherwin Williams. I have some other water borne stuff that I have yet to try. It is expired so I rolled the dice but got it much cheaper. The one picture shows the archeology of my paint. We have the original red oxide...
If you are going to be near gimpy or meeting up with someone by gimpy, I need a case of carc hauled up this way. Since you are so much farther north it would only work if I could meet up with you on the way up. I think your route would be way to far away from Cincinnati.
Over the last couple of weeks I have installed some pigtail tiedowns for the bed that I traded gimpy for. He had the original style and I had some of the trailer style replacements. He also sent me a stone guard for the grill. The front step I got off Ebay as the tailgate step was way to high...
I have the transformer but do not know exactly where I laid it. When I find it I will put it together in a box to that I can plug the ipod into then plug it into the AM-1780.
The positive terminal looks way to close to the hold down. Hard to tell but I would say this might have provided a spark. Look for evidence of an arch on the hold down or the cable end. The hold down is rubber covered but if there was contact vibration could have worn down the rubber until a...
One of the dash bulbs has a small diameter red spot in the center. That is the high beam indicator. Download the manual from the resource section and it will have a diagram of everything on the dash.
I appreciate the write up but if you attach the files instead of putting down a URL link they will show up without having to link out. Makes looking at your hard work much easier. Just press the manage attachments and add all the files you want to be viewed.
Kenny is right. The voltage should...
The bulb is 12 volt. No problem there. IIRC is the alternator is defective (regulator in the alternator) the idiot light will not come on. I am pretty sure you can check the wiring for the bulb by grounding the number 1 terminal on the harness to the alternator while it is disconnected. They key...
I don't think it will matter in this case but when you get parts tell the parts guy it is a 1984. All GM cucvs were built to 1984 standards no matter what year they actually were.
They are inside the transfer case so basically any checking would be during a full tear down. Put the drive shaft back in and drive it looking for any unusually vibration or noises. Get off pavement and check low, low lock, and high lock also. If everything sounds OK with no vibration you should...
The new shock should have new mounting hardware. I just replace the one on my son's M1009 this morning and the new one came with the hardware. There should be a nut for each mounting part that comes off. Mine had a castle nut at the tie rod end and on the axle side. The old damper had nuts to...
Showed up on my todays post page and I knew Monkeyboyarmy was at Aberdeen.
I really don't think dates are going to save you from being known as a trailer ho.
BTW as far as you know I do not have your M51.
