Tb4 12, 13, or 14. All the ones I've ever done I've been able to clip some zip ties bring the wire up and over around to the left and down to the bottom fairly easily
Oh good to hear. While you are at it, look at tb4 in the control cube, on screw 3 is there a wire marked P59E16? There's a mod that should be done. If it's there it needs to move, otherwise there's a risk of starter burnout
from your description, id say starter. But to avoid jumping to conclusions lest do some metering.
From the power stud on the starter to chassis
when in start, chassis to trigger wire.
let me know what you get.
So I'm pretty sure this engine is toast. I was turning it over by hand using the blower bolt and the blower feels loose. I can rotate it 10 to 15 degrees freely without the generator rotor moving. First I thought shrug keyway. But the blower is still well secure on the crank. Soo...
1 no rating games. Civ units are rated by surge watts so a 10k unit is actually good for 8k.
Gasoline sets run at a higher rpm (more fuel burn) and if you are in a natural disaster area (hurricane etc) and resources are limited in recovery, everyone wants gasoline (cars) while diesel is...
A great set of first steps however this only works assuming there isn't a failure in the solenoid or governor assembly (or an alternative fuel source). These are rare edge cases, but its important to know that the solenoid isnt a 100% catch all
By happenstance I had enough extra cash on hand, and just having done a pump recently it was a pretty easy call. It has an ambac pump already and after getting it apart (it was gummed up bad) I was able to rebuild that one. The set also wasn't charging the battery, I found the stator to...
Bit of a story here, when I made it up to Mikes, he introduction to is neighbor, which had a 003 in need of an IP. That one is in my shop and back living now, but since I had other things come up Mikes unit didn't get unloaded, I did service it and make a few repairs. But since it...
The key phrase that set me off was removed load and it ran away. Telling me that the throttle was open more than no load speed. If the governor or linkage was sticky it would seem to surge and runoff
That subject is one that tends to start a huge flame war. Let's just say that you have enough overhead on that set you won't have to worry about maxing her out.
