    An American Deuce in Canada

Grizzly bear Is always a concern you will start to see around the same time you see the moose. I've never seen one but almost certain I've heard them on one or two occasions. I've encountered fresh t*rd on a quad trip away from camp. I poked it with a stick, no skin on it. I chambered the...

    Lockouts, hubs and where?

I put AVM lock outs in the front axle. I don't know why I waited so long (price probably) Easier to steer, less drive line wear, and less drag on the engine. A noticeable improvement. I will be installing air lockers, I want the control at the flip of a switch. One thing I notice however...

    An American Deuce in Canada

I see lots of deer and the odd Black bear, then you will see moose as you go further North. Often I find tracks for mountain lions and the wolves howl during the night. Mostly they stay away because my campsites usually sound like the Battle for the Bulge on any given day.

    An American Deuce in Canada

Nov.11 of last year I took the trailer and truck out for one last camping trip before winter. Had a great time and thought of a few ways to improve the trailer. So to start I bought 4 more HEMTT wheels. Then I mounted a couple of my spare 395's on them. Finally I tossed them babies right...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Managed to muster up 4 more HEMTT rims. Mounted and installed them on my trailer. I will start the exocage this week! The tires bolted right up and fit. I don't think I will need to modify the wheel well. Now I have 2 extra rims for spare tires too

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

I have the same issue, mostly off road and when I'm backing my trailer up. I hadn't considered adding a reserve pump. I have an extra tank I was going to add.

    M35a2 in tank fuel pump

With the main power switch turned on you should be able to hear the pump in the tank running.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I'd say you will use 2 of those 3 tanks......any bets? I did 550km on 1.25 of a tank. Fresh filters and injectors

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I just go ancient Egyptian on my 395's. Steel HEMTT rim and all! Ramps, bars, wedges and patience. Oh and of course ice cold beer is secret to all my powers.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2016 - September VOTE HERE!

This is my deuce. It's a good truck. Very reliable for me, no coincidence I'm always wrenching on it😀 It is a labour of love. Purchased in 2011, I bought it as a 30th birthday gift to myself. It is used often. She was in pretty rough shape. Today she is battle hardened and ready to roll...

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I'm really interested in seeing your install posts. Lockers are on my list. Sorry to hear about the trouble, however breaking things often motivates me to spend more money than I should. You appear to be cut from the same cloth haha

    An American Deuce in Canada

Loose Deuce She's being used this summer that is for sure. A few 100 km on forest service road, several car shows, and wonderful memories. I entered her in her 3rd car show a couple weeks back. I really enjoy watching the kids climb all over it, big smiles as always. A couple young boys...

    Help Identifying FMTV Aluminum Wheels

Just get a nail or center punch. Give it a light tap, if it dents with little effort it's Alum. Grab a magnet and check to see if it is magnetic, that will work also.

    How to Handle a Blowout

This incident was caused by ice on the road. Not blow out related, more to answer his question about the shelter helping in a roll over. The truck in the picture rolled over about 3-4 times. The cab would have pancaked on the rocks and trees. The shelter suffered puncture wounds, it is...

    How to Handle a Blowout

I can honestly say if my friend didn't have his box in the bed of his truck, he would have died.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I tapped the main line from the compressor along the frame rail. Plumbed it into the dryer, then out to the accumulator tanks. I took power from the wire heading into the lift pump in the fuel tank. Added an inline fuse. Bolted the dryer to the outside frame rail. Was very easy about a 2...
