My SF97 states 10,000 lbs. Maybe it's wrong, but it's officially wrong if that's the case. Wish I could find something official like that. Nothing on the paperwork and the plates.

What, all of them? I did mention that between 2 humvees the GVWR varies by 5500 lbs. 1 1/4 ton would certainly make sense for the M1114 which has a GVWR of 15,500 lbs and weights 7,700 lbs giving it a payload of 7,800 lbs. This is far higher than the M1097R1's 4,400 lbs.

The Harbor Freight ramps are still around, up to $84, but a good source for stair treads. Would go well with the Pylex stringers. These are available on Amazon in steel only, however, Home Depot also sells them much cheaper.

It seems like anything I get will require modification. These will be mounted on the side of the truck and I would have to rig something up to put the steps inside then hang them when in use. They are light. I remember looking at these when I first started looking, maybe I should add these...

When I spoke to GovPlanet about why WA processes so much faster than CA, I was told they were handled differently. I am speaking from my experience. My 1097 I got in WA, and the EUC processed in about a day, I didn't even notice any lag. However, my 1114 I'm still waiting for the EUC approval...

In WA my EUC turnaround was about a day. In CA I'm told it's 30 to 60. Then again, WA auctions off maybe 10/month. I also feel that $5k for non-runners might be high, it really depends on what's wrong and what other extras are on them.

Unfortunately, the stairs in the drawing are out - they're made for concert stages and are just too wide. Right now I'm mulling over 2 options: Aluminum stairs, would remove the railing to save some weight, or stringers. Found the stringers on Amazon, they go to 60.5" height and are available...

Just bought a parts vehicle, 2005 M1114. I plan to strip the transmission (and other sundry parts) for my M1097. Pull the wheels/tires for spares, maybe some other parts. Sell the slant back pieces, maybe some other stuff and scrap the rest so it won't be in my possession long...hopefully...
