    WA state cancelling MV titles

This would be handled through the WA Dept. of Revenue. People buy big ticket items all the time in OR to avoid sales tax and bring them back to WA. If it's something like a boat or vehicle there's a good chance you'll get busted so there's a provision to pay the sales tax through Revenue. For...

    Any A/C professionals here?

The drain is in the corner of the pan. And there is a side to the pan. Another hole could be drilled for drainage, couldn't it, if necessary? Water still flows downhill, doesn't it?

    Any A/C professionals here?

So, I'm putting a Red Dot system in my truck for a/c and heat, specifically their 2300 model which is designed for off-road applications. The manual states that the unit is supposed to be mounted "flat" somewhere, on the ceiling, floor, whatever. Thing is, space is getting a little tight in my...

    In tank lift pump

Another option would be to put in an electric pump on the fuel line, before the fuel injection pump. It's like a $35 part, wire it to your power switch.

    Door and windshield glass measurements

Door glass is on the bottom of the pic. Thought it good to have booth glass measurements on one pic.

Another of my woefully ignorant threads - suspension upgrade

I'm pretty committed to my tires. They're 11r24.5 and can be sourced far more easily than military tires. Plus duallies gives me some other options when traveling vs super singles. If you're interested, you can read about my journey to commercial tires at this link. The extra fuel capacity...

Another of my woefully ignorant threads - suspension upgrade

The truck is being worked on by a friend-mechanic on a part-time basis (I have a number of threads on here about my progress). I'm 1-2 years out. When it's done, I'm gonna park it in my driveway and try to live in it for a month with my cat & dog to see if they can acclimatize to the space...

Another of my woefully ignorant threads - suspension upgrade

Yes, I'm aware of this. What would it take to change that 2.5 into a 3 or a 3.5? What am I carrying? I'm building a custom camper which I expect to come in around 1500 - 2000 lbs but then I have 4 fuel tanks with a combined 200 gallons and about 65 gallons of water tanks. Add various...

Another of my woefully ignorant threads - suspension upgrade

Is there a way to increase the capacity of the deuce, say to 3 or 3.5 ton without spending a fortune? Would custom built springs make enough difference, for instance? I'm pretty far along and committed to all the changes I've made in my deuce so moving to a 5 ton is not an option.

    Seat options?

Could look into another military seat. Many of them have a piston shock - most of the old seats need a new one installed. I guess it depends on how much comfort you're looking for.

    BT band wagon

There was so much that just wasn't mentioned in the thread, all the little issues that cropped up and the solutions that were found. Some of those are as follows, some are just too numerous to remember. Looking back over this thread, I never mentioned that the oil pan was pulled from another 6...

cost of ownership (the real cost of a deuce)

When I got mine, 2016, it had stock sized tires and I could hit and drive at 55 for hours. I drove it back from where I got it, 1k miles over 3 days. When I moved to super singles the top speed went up to over 60, but I usually kep the speed at 60. My biggest problem then was handling but...

    Grangeville ID Border Days Parade

Some adults too though. I remember a woman asking me if her grandmother could sit in the driver's seat and have her picture taken. The grandmother was visiting from a small village in China and looked dwarfed by the truck, but thought it would look wild to have her picture taken that way. The...

I go to a few shows and if kids got a vote, I would probably win. As it is, I never have.

Deuce and a half questions about transmission

I've been driving stick all my life and every one is a little different. You could probably find a friend with stick and ask them to teach you. 30 minutes to a couple hours and the rest of your life. It is one of those skills that might get rusty with misuse but comes back fast. If an M35 is...

Unless you bob. Some people go with the 53's after they get rid of the back axle.

    M35A2 tires / wheel combo

In what way? I put about 3k hwy miles when I had 395's, it was nice being able to go the minimum truck speed limit and maybe a little more. You sacrifice a little some flexibility in the way your truck moves with the bigger tires. If you're not doing much rough, off road, this probably won't...

    M35A2 tires / wheel combo

Including tires? Well, stay away from the Eastern Surplus wheels, they're pricey. You might check out militarytires.ca I've never bought from this place, but they look to have a good selection including rims. Keep in mind, there are 2 different types of 10 hole wheels out there, and the...

    M35A2 tires / wheel combo

There are at least 3 wheels out there that don't even require adapter plates. 2 are hard to find and all tend to be pricey. Do you have a budget? If money is no object, you could even get wheels custom drilled. Military trucks are pretty over engineered and unless you plan on taking it up to...
