    EMP Proofing HMMWV

Worked for me. Here are screenshots of the relevant information, note particularly the Starfish details under the pic where they experienced the EMP but not ionizing radiation-

    EMP Proofing HMMWV

EMP has substantially more range than the lethal ionizing radiation. CME can also generate an EMP. The link you didn't read was US Naval Institute..

    EMP Proofing HMMWV

Your assertion conflicts with USNI https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedings/2023/february/emp-or-solar-incident-could-result-blackout-wa That said, I don't really think hardening our vehicles against EMP is of much value either.

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

Good info on the bearings. As to the water tanks causing trucks to flip, it isn't so much the weight as it is the slosh. A half full unbaffled tank is far more dangerous than a full one. Using a 5ton doesn't really resolve this. If you've never experienced it, it's quite impressive. Make a...

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

Um, @98G 'S ad has a substantial decrease in price as a result of the MRAP rims and 395's being sold off of it...

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

I wasn't clear. Full air conversion for a deuce isn't a thing. Full air begins at 939series or newer.

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

The things to think about on the M35A3 is the automatic transmission and the Cat engine. My preference is a manual transmission. I've got nothing bad to say about the CAT other than expense. AlReal air brakes are a substantial upgrade, even over the dual circuit brakes. All things...

How do you move your generator(s)?

They make forks with a frame that take the place of the bucket. They're not a lot more expensive than those bucket ruiners. I have no idea how I ever lived without them.

How do you move your generator(s)?

I second the ringing endorsement of pallet forks on the tractor.

    M816 Wrecker Tire Conversion

I like singles. I just don't think they're the best choice for a wrecker. (And I have a wrecker with singles)

    M816 Wrecker Tire Conversion

The easiest way to put super singles on it would be 395s on LMTV rims. I'd keep it dualled for stability reasons.

    M1101 with troop carrier seats

I've never seen it done with an M1101. @CARNAC did something similar with an M101 if i remember correctly. Like you, I'm thinking it'd be pretty trivial to accomplish.

    Towing a dead M1083 with M1079

You're reinventing the wheel. Glad hand to glad hand air lines are readily available off the shelf in most truck stops. Your idea has merit for running air tools. Gladhand to female air line quickconnects are something to keep in the toolbox of every airbrake truck...

    MEP805 and wet stack

I don't have an 805. I know some of the more advanced larger machines have on board resistance in order to artificially create load and prevent wetstacking. Is the 805 one of them? In answer to my own question, it appears not. I was able to find references to 805s that have wet stacked...

I believe those are nits. (Yes, I'm nit picking)

    Towing a dead M1083 with M1079

I've done *this* for a couple of miles. I'd think you could get away with essentially anything for a few blocks.
