The brakes don't work very good when this little part went fubar on me, can anyone tell me what it is, and can I plug it off and get by or need to replace? It was located on the frame rail drivers side in between the fuel tank and back tires, it leaks out air only when brakes are applied. There...
Did you check for voltage even if your gauges were not working? If not next time you start unit check and see if your getting anything anywhere, It could be that your voltage regulator is not working?
I bet it is the switch, I got a unit that the screw was out on a wire on switch (glow plugs) it looked like it was there but was not, I am not saying you did not look, but they might be loose? Good luck, I hope you get her going.
Jim, I had time to work on the gen set this afternoon, I changed out T2 and with the original AC Control box I still had nothing, I put the AC box that I was getting high volts back on and all is fine now (240/120). So I think it was T2 that was part of my problem and the original AC control box...
With the original AC output control box I get no volts to speak of and no HZ and when I put on the AC output control box off the other gen set I get 320 volts on top and 240 where the plugs are for power tools. I will check Q4 and see what happens?????
I am not sure what the box is called, but it is the one that the wires hook too, the cubicle left of the battery slave. I get 320 volts where I should get 240 and I get 160 volts where at the 120 volt plugs. Thanks Jim
Fist off I hope I am not beating a dead horse, if so I will take my butt chewing. I always try to win at least 2 gensets so I can try to make one good one. I picked the best out of the 2 latest ones I won and got her running. When I first started it it was overcharging voltage big time, 1st...
When I replaced mine, I took the front valve cover off and put it on top dead center and like gimpyrobb said there is a pointer located driver side that you need to locate.
The winch on the boom went to leaking hydraulic oil when running and or lifting. It runs out so bad that it is coming out of the vent cap on top of the winch itself (not gear oil). Is there a seal that keeps the oil from entering the winch from the hydraulic pump, if so how hard is it to change...
Jeepsinker you might have hit the nail on the head, I ASSUME? the mechanic that had it for 2 years had put the new IP on right, I will check just that when I get back over to work on it (it is 60 miles from my house so I can work on it just a few days a week) If that is the case would it not...
So let me start by saying that I did search for all problems and with no luck have I got my M35A2 running like it should. It has been at the mechanic shop for 2 years (he lost interest in it and gave up) so now I have my neighbor helping me that is a great mechanic but we are stumped. I bought a...
Does anyone know how to rebuild a PT pump, in my case, I bet it is just a O ring that has went bad. I don't know there for I ask, has anyone tore one apart off a M936 and had luck getting it to work? Thanks
The PT pump in my M936 is leaking bad (like runs out on the oil filter canister) where the throttle shaft comes out, I did my research and seen that I have to sent it to Cummins to get rebuilt, but my Nephew (bless his heart) blew the engine in my M818, and it ran like a champ. Can I take the...
