I wouldn't use it if it's a latex paint. Maybe on reproduction models that aren't being used or non functional, then I'd think it would work fine. With Duracoat, Cerakote, and rattle cans, those options work fine, the Behr will work just the same as Rust-Oleum if it's oil based. Some matte clear...

My old shop teacher used to talk about that. Anti-seize was better for parts that were never exposed to the elements or maintenance on a regular basis. Sealants were the better alternative for parts that see the elements but he always said that grease was a poor man's sealant.
