Well I finally went ahead and tore into the rear axle to replace the seals. It was not very hard. Just heavy. I followed the proceure from "dm22630" and there were no problems. I tried to document everything with photos so others can see what's in there before they start.
1. Park on a FLAT...
That would be sweet indeed! What I ended up with was 3 gallong of 383 CARC, 1 gallon of black and 1 gallon of brown. Plus 1 gallon of thinner.
I think that should be enough (??) :?
Hold on guys. I frequent both MV displays and Hotrod shows. Check my signature, I love both. I have taken my 5 Ton to a couple of cruise inns’ here in Portland and people loved it. But I would not take it to a concourse display. Same as I would not take my street rod to a MV show. That is...

Mine went like this, on Friday at 4:00pm.
Me: I would like to register my truck.
Clueless Woman: (Looks at paperwork), says "Well, we will have to work it up".
Me: OK.....Soooo can we do that.
Clueless Woman: Well we need a scale weight and some other stuff, it will take about 30 minutes..
Me...
Seems like it wants to work. Every time I drive it, she seems to run better. I had an axle seal leaking when I bought it but now it's better somehow. When I brought it home I had to shift down into 3rd to climb the hill by my house. Lately it takes it in 4th easily and starts within about 5...
