We made it home at 05:30 this morning with the mule pyramid. We took it slow on the way home and the trip was uneventful — just how I like them!
I have a busy day in store and, unfortunately, won’t get to play with the mules today. I’ll get an after action report and more pictures posted as...
We are east bound and down! Loaded up and.. ugh… got three mules pushing us home!
Tucson, Arizona is in the rearview and we’re headed to the New Mexico state line.
It’s a beautiful day for a road trip through the desert!
Will, it was great to meet you. I really appreciate everything you did to make this happen.
We made it to Phoenix tonight with no issues. We’ll head home to Texas tomorrow.
I had a lot of maintenance done to my pick-up and trailer over the past week in preparation for this trip, including buying new trailer tires at Discount Tire. The kid at Discount Tire either messed up the installation or gave me bad valve stems (or both). The valve stems would not hold air...
My new mule pack consists of:
One 1966 M274A2 manufactured by Bowen-McLaughein-York (BMY) — Complete vehicle, runner
One 1968 M274A5 manufactured by Baifield Industries — Complete vehicle, runner

Well… I purchased a pack of mules… and the adventure starts now.
My brother-in-law and I are hitting the road and driving from Montgomery, Texas to Southern California where we’ll meet @WillWagner and take delivery of three mules! There are two complete vehicles and one parts truck.
I’ll post...
Oh my goodness. The young HMMWV was so excited and I was so excited for her. So we decided to have a pamper day and she got new stencils!
@kendelrio - Where did that donut box come from?
Thank you! I bet the young HMMWV will shed another tear when I tell her!
Seriously though, thank you to everyone that participated this month whether you entered a vehicle or read the thread and voted. I had a lot of fun with the campaigning. There certainly was some stiff competition!
We met @Barrman at the car show and our military vehicles occupied some prime real estate.
Look what else was at the car show >>
We even had aerial surveillance (do you see the HMMWV)?
Awe, who doesn’t love that first car show in the Spring!
@Eracer46 organized one heck of a car show in Giddings, Texas and was so gracious to invite my young HMMWV. (I got to go too….).
We met up with @texas30cal in route to the car show.
We all know that MVs are herd animals. What may be somewhat of a lesser known fact is that some MVs have a jealous streak.
Not long after we adopted the HMMWV (and it started consuming a lot of my attention), the Deuce decided to throw a temper tantrum….
After that, (dare I say) the Deuce...
Conversation at our dinner table last night turned to the question of what’s your favorite holiday.
On a quick side note, we had to relocate our dining room table to the garage now that we have a young HMMWV living at home.
So back to our conversation… It should come as no surprise that “Take...
Having recently adopted this young HMMWV, I thought that the two of us needed some quality time to bond. And there’s no better way to do that than going on a camping trip. So we hitched-up the tent and hit the road.
I mentioned that this girl is tough. She pulled that tent like a champ!
