Howdy from just down Hwy 105 in Montgomery. Welcome to the site!
There are several SS members in the area. We just had our annual rally in College Station this past weekend. Rally details, pictures and videos are here >> https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/2023-tx-mv-rally.213025/

We were in the front parking lot across from the main entrance and vendor area at the museum. The same place as last year. Although we didn’t get much foot traffic (i.e., people walking across the parking lot), everyone could see our trucks.
Follow (or “Watch”) this year’s thread. We’ll bump it next year when a new thread is posted.
So back on topic, I put 177 miles on the M1097R1 this weekend attending the rally and averaged 9.4 miles per gallon. I had a M105 trailer in tow for most of those miles.
The annual rally was this weekend. We are all getting home now.

So @CallMeColt got his truck running and left under his own power this morning. Hopefully he gets home with no issues!
I made it home and just beat the rain storm. I’ll let the rain pass before I unload my trailer.
Here are a couple of pictures from Saturday. It is always a treat to see the...
What? Contractors working on the house? That’s all the more reason to leave for the weekend and come to the rally!!
Ok, on a serious note, I’m sorry we’ll miss you. I hope everything goes well at the house!
The M1097R1 now has USMC vehicle number vinyl stickers!
Jeepstickers.biz made the stickers for me. I’ve purchased vinyl stickers from them before and was very impressed with their prices, customer service and quality. If you are not cutting your own vinyl, I recommend Jeepstickers.biz. And...
The low beam on my passenger side headlight was burnt out, so I replaced both headlights with new LED’s from @fuzzytoaster. The bad one on the passenger side came out in pieces.

I have a front stake rack for a M105 trailer with wooden boards (as opposed to fiberglass) that is free to a good home. I’ll bring it to the rally if anyone is interested.
I will also stash my flea circus with Ken’s offshore gear so he won’t miss out on all the rally fun. 😁
Bump!
We are less than a week out from the rally.
I think I have an extra tan cover for a M105 trailer. If anyone is interested, I can get it out before the rally.
