Ok been a long time posting on this thread. Haven't been able to do much on the truck in last few months because it's been very hot here in Las Vegas. I've been buying a few more parts for the truck waiting for it to get cooler to install. I did manage to prime and paint the transmission...
Rebuilt in 2007 by VSE M796A1 bloster trailer. Free :) by doing him some favors. Now to figure out what put on it. Going to haul it behind my 5 Ton in the 4th of July parade.
Nothing major last few weeks just getting items ready to go back in the truck. Striped the valve cover after Getting rid of the rust Will paint with high temperature primer and then paint OD green like rest of the engine. Got another Holley carb and rebuilt that will be a spare also rebuilt...
Well yesterday we removed the engine from the truck and took off the valve cover and look what I see no wonder it's seized rust / rust. Engine must of had a crack in the water jacket letting water in the oil
