Might be the engine? Hard to say without pics or more info.... In reality though its probably the fuel pressure sensor if its an A2. Step one, post some pics to help the next guy who has this issue (and uses the search function!) Step two, remove and cap it.

You my friend, are hard core. I did 60 miles round trip in my M817 dump with 8 tons of rock (only one way) and an 18k excavator on the trailer and was spent! Between the noise and constant shifting attempting to maintain any sort of reasonable speed on the hills, I couldn't wait to get out of...
Mine came with DOT 3 from the local government (wsdot). Flushed it again with DOT 3 after changing all soft lines and it's still happy. If you have DOT 5, I'd stick with that. If it's like mine, might as well stay with that.

I've had a few NHC250's that Red River butchered but never had any issues with the 8.3. They only seems to mess with the top end from my experience. If anything more then that is needed they seem to replace the engine. That leads to plenty of other issues like not tightening flywheel...
To adjust the rears, I jack the whole thing up (harbor freight air over hydraulic jacks) and put jack stands under the round support near the trunion bearing. Then you can do all 4 at once. There is a small access port on the face of the drum. The TM has pretty good info on the adjustment...
That's a military alternator. Ditch that pos and get a one wire Delco or similar. Search for that, lots of info on that too.

It's likely the PCB that is fried as others have stated. It's probably due to an improper shutdown. Search pcb on here and you'll get all of your answers.

Yes it does but I carry a trip permit with me and if I ever exceed that, which isn't very often, I just use the trip permit. It allows me to use my truck for what it was designed for. If you have collector vehicle plates and run up to Home Depot to get a pallet of blocks and get in an...
Read the -10 tm at least. Then do some searching on the site with the terms these guys have used.
I'll leave it at that or I might offend someone. Don't need another angry wife coming on here....

Congrats on the purchase!
I found a great shift boot for the transmission, Jegs 62380 but still looking for something to use on the transfer case and winch controls. Before you tackle any other projects, I'd replace the 5 rubber lines on the brake system, adjust all shoes and bleed it out...
That's a better introduction. So lets get this fixed or at least diagnosed before money is spent at the mechanic.
Was the fluid checked? What was the result? Full and clean? Low? High? Burnt? Looks like oil? Looks like Dex? Make sure its being checked while running and check it at...
That's great that they have been out working on it. BUT, was it advertised with transmission issues??
Here is why I'm so jaded on this topic. I've witnessed many people get burned. I'll provide 3 great examples.
1st - Canadian guy buy a truck in WA that was on craigslist. The posting pic...
Yeah! It took 4 hours to come up with the responses below? Unacceptable. I'd ask for a refund (to this free site full of information and a search feature?) I'd be almost as mad as the guy who went to buy a running and driving truck just to find out it has current (and past) transmission...
