The most common failure for the DB2 injection pump is the throttle shaft seal. In this case the engine will start and idle. Once you put load on it, put it in drive and step on the pedal, it will die. It will take 30-60 seconds of cranking and start again and be fine for the rest of the day...
I notice the rear locker on the street with my automatic transmission. If you're off and on the throttle a lot as you would be in stop and go traffic the locker will jump sometimes. It feels like the truck changes lanes but it doesn't. You'll get used to it.
You need to watch this, I think. It is a parody of what you have done.
With that said, I hope you're using conductive hoses and pump. I have personally seen a static discharge from a hand truck filter cart that was using non-conductive hoses.
You don't want a jumper, that would be a dead short. Just remove the flyback diode. If you want a flyback diode buy one with a higher reverse voltage rating. It's most likely a 1N4000 series. 1N4001 has the lowest voltage rating. 1N4007 is the highest. Make sure what you get is higher than what...
Is far as I am aware the only restriction on moly grease is that it is not to be used in ball bearings.
However, you want the oil to do the lubricating if it can. Moly lubricates only once the oil film has been broken. That's why I chose greases that have more oil to thickened ratio and that's...
I'm moving my fleet to polyurea based greases. They last much longer than lithium and are more water resistant. They may or may not be compatible with lithium greases, it's best to use polyurea after rebuilding.
Also note that EP grease should not be used in ball bearings. They can be used...
It's called a flyback diode. When the coil in the relay is de-energized it creates a reverse voltage spike which causes an arc across the contacts that control the relay. The flyback diode shorts the reverse voltage to prolong the life of the contact
With that said, all of these flyback diodes...
Cooling system flushes are usually acid based. Phosphoric, sulfamic, and citric are most common and in order of descending strength.
Acid based flushes will not work if the system is oily. Remove oil using a non-foaming detergent before flushing. Cascade dishwasher detergent is popular for...
If you're going to go through the effort of sand blasting DO NOT use red oxide primer. Use a zinc-rich epoxy. I don't know the automotive lines but I'm sure some users have come across products like Devoe 302. My company uses Interzinc 75V. The zinc rich primers can protect even when chipped...
Headlight restoration kits will work if it's really bad. Otherwise, paint is a plastic so any product that restores the appearance of paint will work on the gauge faces too.
