I was thinking the same thing, but I will be adding a larger air compressor and a furnace/a/c unit and hot water heater to the garage in the future so hopefully I can justify it a bit better then. (furnace and hot water heater will be natural gas aswell but will still need power for blower fan...

The only thing I noticed missing from what is on mine is the metal grating around the fan, I ran mine for about 2-3 hours today and temp stayed at 190 and oil pressure stayed around 48.

All of the missing parts finally came in today (e-stop button and other 1/4 turn wing nut for control panel door), doing first load on house...can't get it past 60% with everything on so kinda sad (most everything is natural gas) Still waiting on exhaust pieces to pipe directly outside.

No there really isn't a reason to leave it on just so can see the gauges and stuff in the dark without a flashlight, so I will not be putting a dimmer on mine, I am however gonna hook up a esp32 and prolly make a small pcb so I can remotely monitor all the data while it is running tho.
