I was lucky enough to get a ride in a high rail when I was at CN. Track inspector took pity on me when I had to walk to the engine from the rear car of a 1.5 mile grain train.
Valor, you know I loved the fact that I got to “play” with trains. Driving them by remote was on of the coolest things I have ever done. If it weren’t for the union and management, I wouldn’t have left.
This was me in the conductor seat back in 2007 when I worked for UP. I've never been in prison but I did do 3 years with UP and another 3 with CN. Best thing I ever did was quit while I could still afford to.
As of 2 weeks ago they are still allowing it with no mention of having to have a physical plate.
That has been the biggest part of this ordeal. The "truck" does have a title but that is a very integral part of the story that I will explain next week. (Fingers crossed!!!!!!)
Thanks @juanprado. Next week I should have my M37 registered and titled as an ex military vehicle using the "in lieu of" hood numbers.
I will write up the details once I get it completed. BTW, it has not been easy or fun!!!!!!!
Hmm... idea.... balloons and a helium bottle to secure the kid votes... 😁😆😅
I have a little bucket with army men to give to the kids. They got a kick out of getting in the truck and getting a souvenir!!

The one I am looking at has an bubba seat on it. It looks to have the deck parts and it has a muffler. I need to get better pics from him to see other parts.
When time allows, I am going to look at a 1969 M274 A5 that if for sale not too far from me. The seller says that it runs and he recently added electric starter to it. What parts should I make sure are not missing (as I have read that some parts are becoming very hard to find)? Anything in...
I have been volunteering there for several months now and I really enjoy the time spent there.
I was talking with the curator today and he wants to arrange some sort of event for owners of MVs at the museum. I’ll let you know if I hear anything.
Thanks everyone. I told him I am going to pass on them because I really don’t have a need for them. I told him I’ll try to help him sell them when he gets them.
I have a guy at work that just purchased 2 M103a3 with gensets on them from govplanet and asked me if I was interested in buying them as he has no interest in the trailers. I am not sure what to offer him for them. Could anyone help me out with a price to offer him?
Thanks
Mike
