I installed hard doors.
BTW does anyone know if with a soft top, the latches can go to the second latching position? I have not been able to close mine tight enough to get to that second/final position.
I also installed the locking latches and retrofitted springs to keep the sliders in it from...

I have not re-done the ground or other wiring connections yet or done my research. Ran out of time before I needed to leave the shop for the evening.
Anyone seen this happen and want to chime in?
I have not had to do this myself but I've heard you can route the exhaust into a bucket of water and let it run for a minute or so. After killing the engine and letting the water settle you can look for signs of fuel on the surface of the water in the form of a rainbow like shimmer...

Last night my friend and I replaced the glow plugs and injectors and had to burp the calling system after pulling all of that stuff off to make working room. We had all the air out of the system, running for 20 minutes at least as we were checking for leaks in the return lines on the injectors...

What have people...
I made a post earlier with a link in it but that didn't get approved by the moderator for some reason. So here are the details:
Do a google search for "Accessories/Brushguards/Luverne" and you will get link to the company that made/makes the nice grill guards. In the results after the luverne...
Does anyone have an idea what the purpose is with the plywood between the passenger seats in some of the M998s?
I may have missed it in one of the TMs and my google searches have not revealed an answer...
Just trying to learn as much about my HMMWV before I pick it up.
Oh I wish I got the M1038. I have a plain old 2 door troop carrier M988 without the rear cover waiting on EUC from the Sept 2 auction. Mine looks like it has a hub seal or two leaking. But it has the nice brush guard like yours.
Nice Buy! I was eyeing that one up but really need to just get my hands on my first one...
Do you know the correct name for the changeable number dealybob on the hood?
My friend's came out of Sparta and had one. Mine is coming from Ripley and does not.
