If the engine actually slowly incerasing rpm then i would check the ip and the governor linkage. Could be stuck or just set wrong.

Buddy, Run! The mep 1041 unit runs at 400hz. Unless you will use it just for power drills or an airplane it wont work. You need the mep 1040.

Thanks for the suggestion. About a year back i ordered one but it did not fit even after removing the whole filter assembly with neck. It was not wide enough to fit in the down pipe. I even oiled it up a bit but no dice.
