    Pioneer rack mounting spot

That is the mounting location I've had previously! Again, only a few M939 series cargos I've owned had the pioneer rack.

    TRUCK M35A2 U.S AIR FORCE

You can always convert it to a turbo engine. Several of my non-turbo trucks were converted to turbo. No noticeable difference in performance in any way from the factory turbo trucks. Off the top of my head, I had an M275A2, M109A3, and M35A2 converted to turbo. I believe I can make out a...

    Deuce cab repairs

I'll second what NDT said. Those issues look fixable to me. I've seen plenty of repairs like the one near your hinge where the military just welded a patch on top of the sheet metal. When done neatly, I think it looks fine.

Best place to sell my M1083 & 30ton Trailer

Unless there is a reason for it, I'd suggest listing them separately. You will most likely get more and sell them more quickly.

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

I no longer own one of those trucks, but I believe there were straps on both sides. I do know that I have had trucks with straps on one side only so maybe that is the way they came? I don't fully remember, but I know I've also had trucks with straps on both sides. With that said, I never used...

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

The uprights and elbows go in the front headboard. The top bows go under the bed as GUYFANG stated, and KENDELRIO acknowledged. The top bows are secured using the straps. If you have six top bows in that storage location with the straps tightened, they are not going anywhere.

    Turbo Identification (whistler or not?)

The -1C engine was the engine that originally had the whistler turbo on it. However, by this time, the turbo could have been replaced, or the truck rebuilt and a different turbo added. I've had -1Ds with whistler turbos, although I don't think I've had a -1C without a whistler. I know it is...

Two prong NATO military slave plug?

I have never seen a 2-pin to 1-pin adaptor. I am not saying they never made them. I just have never seen them. As GUYFANG pointed out, they made 1-pin to 2-pin adaptors.

Hardtop for M939, what did you have to pay?

I only used the supplied gaskets.

Hardtop for M939, what did you have to pay?

I put together and installed an NOS hard top once. It is a good amount of work. I assembled it on the ground, lifted it up, and then bolted it down. You will need a helper to lift this up and put it on the truck. It was only my brother and I dealing with the top when I did it. I bet...

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

Charlie175, I talked to my brother; he graduated Ranger School in 1987.

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

Yes. When he thought he was in for life, he wanted to be a General. And, I believe he told me that there has not been a General who was not Ranger-qualified. I may have that slightly off...it has been a while since we talked about it. He could have said "4 star general." I can't remember...

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

Also, he was Ranger-qualified...not assigned to a Ranger Battalion...I have heard there is a difference...not in training...but in the fact that he was not in a Ranger unit. He did wear the Ranger tab, and he was very proud of it...even more proud than graduating second in his class at Air...

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

Make sure the top is slid down all the way into the side supports of the soft top assembly. It should definitely be low enough to allow the rubber rope to apply tension. When did you go to Ranger School? My brother went through in the late 80s. I can ask him which class he was in if you were...

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

Charlie175, is the rope I see in the pic above the rubberized rope you are talking about? That rope does not look right. You can pull some excess rope out of the sides to tighten it up some.

    Charlie's Deuce Thread

You can lower the windshield frame. Just hit the fasteners with some PB Blaster or similar. While it is down, you may want to change the rubber seal under the A-pillar. You should be able to find something suitable at Home Depot.

    M275, 36, 342..

The M275s are from the same family as the M35 (both M44 series), but they have a shorter chassis, different fuel tank, and other tractor-related differences. The M36s are somewhat rare, but they are out there. Also, the M342s are even more rare, but they, too, are out there. 11ECHO on this...

    Adding a winch

The most difficult part for me was getting the bolt holes to align after the winch with frame extensions was in the frame. I had a h*** of a time getting the last few bolts into the bumper. I got it done, though. :)

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

You don't always see pioneer tool racks on M923s/M925s, although I don't know why. I have seen them before, but it seems like they are absent (never installed) more frequently than they are present. With that said, when I have seen them, they are mounted to the top of the toolbox on the...
