    M1009 - Fuel delivery problem?

I cant help with the sender. But a side note on the lift pump, it has no effect on a properly running injection pump. Its main purpose is to help "lift" fuel to the IP and purge air out during filter changes. In fact many (myself included) will do a filter change only to find out the lift pump...

    M1009 - Fuel delivery problem?

I am also sending my IP in to Diesel Care in Memphis per the recommendations here. You can't beat $290 for a rebuild, even if they do just service all the seals and stuff, mine leaks like crazy after it sat for 3 years. Never a drop before that, driven daily. My truck always kept 45 up hill...

    M1008 fuse box connection

I think it goes on the firewall part. My M1009 has a retainer on the bolt that secures the two halves together. The bolt does not come out of the firewall due to the retainer.

DIY air bleed screw for filter changes

To clarify I have a Napa spin on head with no air bleed provision. Sounds like it will work as intended though. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

DIY air bleed screw for filter changes

Can a guy TEE in a petcock on the output side of the firewall filter where it goes to the injection pump? Sort of a cheap DIY air bleed valve to work in conjunction with the spin on filter and electric lift pump upgrade most of us do. Should work in theory correct? Being that is is the highest...

Fill drilled holes in m1009 roof

Short of welding them up, they sell cap plugs for auto body holes. I've used those with some latex based caulk (paintable) and it makes a first class waterproof plug that is permanent until you pop then out. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

M1009 front driveshaft dust boot part #

I took some measurements and I think there is in fact a spicer boot that will fit. Not a perfect fit like the OEM but still very functional. Its 13 bucks. I'll post it when I put it on. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

M1009 front driveshaft dust boot part #

Thank you, Nepalese or chinese makes no difference to me. Amy idea if the original is 4 or 5 inches? Theres some generic looking ones that should fit. We get a ton of dirt here, annual dirt fall is at least 10 inches. Can someone say haboob? It would be nice to keep those splines cleanish...

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

So here's the story. I'll try to be short. I traded this M1009 to a man 3 years ago for an m35a2. It was a good trade. We spoke a weeks before he trailered his m35 to me about an hour away (on company equipment). On arrival, he said he'd forgotten the title at home. But hed mail it ASAP. Well...

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

Shes home. Pics and story tomorrow. The tow dolly worked great. Not optimal but it was a short straight boring drive. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

As it is this was a total surprise and I've had to scrape the barrel to come up with the roughly $900 to bring it home. The tow dolly is all I can afford at the moment. The man on the phone took information for a 1986 K5 full size so if the computer say's it fits....well see i guess.

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

We are using a UHaul tow dolly to bring this back home. It's only 75 miles or so. I just thought, will an M1009 front axle fit on a tow dolly? I read a couple places the wheel base is too wide, gonna have to figure something else out maybe.......I know the rear axle is narrower. So a backwards...

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

Got my key, 15 bucks. Does it look correct? I'll be heading to pick the truck up this afternoon. It's a crazy story that I will explain later. From my reading here it says if towing (dolly) putting the tcase in neutral is sufficient. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

CUCV hot wire and steering lock

That is awesome, thank you. Local shop said they can make one for $15 or $20 buck's. If memory serves the truck had the original ign cylinder in it when it left me 3 years ago. I doubt it's been changed.

I'm also going to re-key the entire vehicle as they are all different. So if jamming a darn tool into the ignition lock works.....i'll do it.
