Your questions are pretty vague. What does "a good job" mean to you? The main similarity is they are both military. Not being a smart butt, but that's about where the similarities stop. The Holgar is gasoline -MEPs are diesel. The Holgar has no electronics what-so-ever. Both AC and DC...
The resistor is usually gold in color with fins in the longitudinal direction, about 1.5 to 2 inches in length. You'll see one of the black ends have pushed out if it went south. It's held into place with screws so you'll have to unsolder the ends to unmount it. I get the resistors from...
Regulator. Check the large pile resistor and see if it phused it's guts out. If so. $5 fix. If not, new regulators are reasonable and abundant.

Your unit needs repair if you plan on returning it to service. You need a new rotor and pulley. I have attached two documents - a parts list and a wiring diagram. The "R" is not used on the 250. The parts show up fairly frequently on ePay. You have lost shaft section - if that lets loose...
Be sure and clarify if the labels are NOS, current milspec, or reproduction from anyone you might buy from. The reproduction ones I bought were less than acceptable (did not stay on, faded in sunlight, glossy).

What would really be useful is adding some information as to WHY an LDS. I'm don't think saying so without reasons is helpful to the OP.

(I thought it originally said M151 too - heh heh)
I've entered my M923 and (maybe) M38A1 in a car show in a few weeks. I want to piggyback the M38A1 in the bed of the 5 ton. Any chance I'll stretch or wave the sheet steel in the bed? The bed is perfect so I don't want to bend it. If anyone has experience doing this, chime in let me know the...
I'd be a bit careful. Last time I researched air horn solenoids, they are not continuous duty. So for the short term, I think you're ok. For the long term, carry a spare in case the coil fries.

A million thank yous. Any idea how thick the plate is? I'm glad you posted pics. I did not know there was a reinforcing beam behind the plate.
Thanks again!
Al Jones
Can you please measure the thickness of the mounting plate? I can use a ruler to estimate the plate size off the photos. Can you please also measure the diameter of the mounting u-rods? I'll have to make my own. Thanks!
Al Jones
Can someone please post the thickness, width and measurements (bends, etc.) of the standoff brackets? It would be item 17 in the attached.
Thanks!
Al Jones
Bringing this back up to the top. Can we please get some more pictures (Thanks, Clinto). I'd like this to look as close to stock as possible. Measurements, etc. would be appreciated. I'll post pics of my install once I get the mounting plate made.
Thanks,
Al Jones
M105A2 wanting that E...
Can any post how far the bottom of the tank is from the bottom of the cross member? I see now that the plate does no go to the top of the cross member. I just realized I do not have the ubolts for the tank - anyone know of a source? I'll also post in the classifieds.
Thanks,
Al Jones
