Greg,
I have listed the manual numbers here http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?36147-Gen-Set-CE-106-AC-WK-9. I would google to find them - I haven't seen any of them pop up in over a year. I had to bring one in from Denmark (good people). I have the -10, -20, -35 and -35P if you...
I'm trying to identify the mount in the following pictures. I stole the pictures off the internet and the resolution is too small to read the numbers. It's aluminum and I'm trying to find one. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Al Jones

I can't tell from your pics. Is the ladder reversible? Meaning, does it mount in the tailgate up position as well, but on the outside of the tailgate? Or only in the down position? I have the same ladder and have paralysis by analysis on how to mount it...

The Cummings... (heh, heh) overhaul manual I have calls to "run the rail" after engine break in. Given the rebuild in my M923, I'll be doing a complete adjustment this spring. Having the two special service tools referenced in the TMs will help greatly. In my opinion, the dial gauge methods...
I had this same problem on my M35A2. It turned out to be a air leak into the transfercase causing the transfer case to become pressurized and forcing oil back up the air line to the switch. I overhauled the air shift piston and it fixed it. I have not traced a 5 ton, but isn't the line...
The -23 TM WP 0376 says you're also going to need a "mechanical puller kit" for the yoke. If they are friction splines, the nut will be the easier of the two tasks.

Ya, that's the correct spec. The manual will call for a special service tool that will attach to the yoke that is nothing more than a long handle/shaft so you can hold it while you remove the nut. I cringe when I read the phrase "break it loose" on an Allison. I think an inpact wrench on the...
One of the TMs says to discard it and use a new one, the other TM implies to reuse it. It is a prevailing torque nut and my training says to always replace if taken off. I also think the consequences of it loosening are catastrophic. The TM says to tighten the nut to 400 to 650 foot-pounds...
All the parking stuff is Merritor. I was able to buy the springs from a local truck parts stop including a new nut. Are you going to resuse the nut? Use locktite? The nuts were only about $10.

Based on no responses, did I ask a stupid question? I didn't think everyone here what that polite...:-P Should I have posted this in the radio forum? I thought it was connected enough to my battery relocation, to keep it here...?
Ya, I understand your concern. I had the same thoughts. The install instructions are explicit on where to route the cable. I routed them even lower in front of the air tanks and *under* the front tank fitting. It made for, IMO, adequate clearance with the exhaust. NAPA also has heat...
How much oil dripped down your arm changing the pan filter? That pan weighed more than I thought it would.
What kind of gasket on the pan did you use? A cork one came with the filter kit I used (military) but the one that came off was a black one of what I would call "traditional" gasket...
The shop has been above freezing so I've been able to get back on this project. I build a rack and have hard mounted the 4 bank battery minder (see pics). Now I want to mount the intercom system. A question for you folks that are running VIC-1s in your 5 tons. I only plan to use the VIC with...
My cylinder had a drip and I looked and looked and looked for the parts. The 800 series parts book has an exploded view of all the seals, packings, etc. The seals are a one of kind deal. The manufacturer is CR, I believe, and their number and packings come up zero on the civy market. Zilch...
You're assuming its from the USA. Stores (farm, Wally World) near me carry "very" generic brands. Some are imported - propriety and standards go out the window. Pemex (Mexico) is a good example. Some of their stuff follows API standards, some don't. Read the label carefully and be an...
