Good evening together
My 4 speed currently does not seem to shift into 4th gear or overdrive.
Drove in the snow a week ago and on the way home felt like "I'm missing a gear"!
I had manually shifted to "2" or "1" while driving, since very mountainous, to brake more evenly downhill with all four...
I guess they were already installed at the factory. There is the engine outside and no one thinks about whether this is a good or bad place later. At least from the accessibility.
But a question from my side.
- What resistance (ohms) should have the target state. And measured from one pole to...
Installed two weeks ago...
I am satisfied with mine so far. The installation instructions could be better. I still have a bunch of material left and do not know where to put it :D
The fit of the roof has a lot of room for improvement. But it is tight. It is too wide in general. I think here I...
Hi Rory
Thanks for your detailed explanations. And sorry for my delay. Was busy as hell this days and now i'm able to read all the accumulated threads.
I'm a little surprised by that.
The truck is in realy good condition. No oil leake, no smoke, no dents no wobble on then interstate.
The fuel...
Hi there
I have some codes painted on my hood.
The last line I think is related to the rebuild date. That was according to the plaque in 04/2009 and CARC certainly refers to the color.
But what stands the rest for?
Today and some days before... bringing my rig home..
Done some inspections... especially the spindels. Found some hand-warm or loose bolds on the half shafts inner and outer side.
But the spindels were all correct secured.
Installed the antenna
Installed the Arktic top.
Fixing two half...
No Ford... just watched under the hood... no Sir... no Ford ;-)
It climbes within 5sec up to 30psi and stys there. Even with the old oil from the IROAN it drops down to 20 at german interstate speed of 75 - 85 mph
Most of the TIme i use one of this products here:
https://www.liqui-moly-shop.ch/index.php/product/motor-clean/
https://www.liqui-moly.com/en/press/press-releases/detail/a-spring-clean-for-the-engine-1112.html
This is what we use here in europe, but there must be a simular product over there...
In this case, I'm with you. Even if I would never do this with me so. Because it will leak at some point. If necessary, it will never be tight.
But interesting to know that there is such a thing at all. I had never seen before.
In the end, the speeds don't matter at all. Unbalance or not.
The stuff will never be leak-proof. And so it's a quick fix for on the road, but never a clean job that you would offer a customer.
And what I would not offer a customer as work I would never accept for myself.
For heaven's sake! Now they bring such a RedNack bungle as a legal product on the market. Where do you buy this shit in the States, at Wallmark next to the yogurt, extra cheap, the latest shit from China.
Sorry, I could not help myself now! The ball was in front of the goal!
Probably a stupid question... but I didn't really find anything useful about this in my search.
What is the meaning behind the "manufactures cage code" on the badge at the HMMWV?
Mine is 19207 - 87T0080.
thx,
Gerd
