What with the recent IRS changes to the HGV tax issue, just re-registered my M931A2 in Utah; the reminder postcard that came in the mail had the heading “Requires IRS 2290.” Went online to IRS website to obtain an EIN, was quick and easy (listed myself as Self-Employed and need EIN for banking...
The AD-9 shown in Simp’s post is the exact same one I’ve been installing on a customer’s trucks I service....you can buy an entire unit for around $125 shipped on Amazon, and the bolt-together cartridge type is disposable. So you buy a new one cheaper than you can have one serviced for, just...
That looks like the Amtrac (AAV) area on the south end of Pendleton, near Oceanside.
I’ll bet those two got in more trouble for not policing up their gear left floating in the water than the sinking of the GG...I wonder if the orange-ish colored item floating in the water was the Fording...
98G & Simp5872 give advice that is well worth heeding...I don’t know anyone else who has had more blowouts, tire troubles, and other vehicle issues while driving former military trucks.
And I don’t mean to downplay advice/experience of NDT and other well-respected members of the site, I guess I...

@98G
@simp5782
Simplest, most cost effective method to reduce the tire rubbing on Pitman arm is to switch wheels with more negative offset (to stick out farther). There are various wheels you can use and that are available, hopefully 98G and/or Simp5782 will post their knowledge as I defer to...
One and a half gallons of Behr exterior paint worked great on my Deuce’s cargo cover...UV-resistant and still holding after 6 or 7 years. Only cracking/peeling was around some of the more frequently-used tie-down corners but it’s hardly noticeable.
