Good afternoon
Towbar here again for another question to ask. On our service sheet, it has service the 2 air tank check valves and the front emergency gladhand check valve. I know I have units that don't drain their air tanks after they drive them. When I go out and check the tanks, moisture...
As of right now the truck does pull either way , and the steering wheel is waaaayyyyyyy off center too. I'll probably be the one doing the string test due to the young mechanics I have working here. Thanks for information.
Needing some information/ good advice on how to do a wheel alignment on a 5ton M1083A1P2 cargo. Unit wants it to drive straight with the steering wheel in the right position. Thanks Towbarman
Morning to yall
I have a M1151 with coolant in the transfer case. What would cause this to happen. I only know this issue from my mechanic/ inspector. My thought was to change out the T-Case instead of the transmission or would it best to change both out. Not sure how long the fluid has been...

Thanks for the help. I wish I could use the generic o-ring kit, but the o-ring on the piston is a square type. I'll keep looking online or get a hold of other item manager. Towbarman
Yes, I was talking about the hydraulic over air cab latch. I looked at the attached photo. That's what I need. Apparently I didn't see the part number for it. If there is a part number, I'd be happy like a pig in mud. Thanks for the information.
Trying to find a rebuild kit for any of the FMTV's instead of buying the whole latch at $400.00 a piece. If there is a TM that has the NSN, I would be happier than a pig in mud. Thank. Towbarman
I have a 5Ton Wrecker that will not finish stowing. I have checked the hydraulic fluid tank, it's full. Checked to see if I have hydraulic fluid at the cylinder. All good. When I use the controls all of them work properly except for the stowing of the MAST. When I pull the lever outwards you...
Have fun removing the hard fuel lines on the back of the injector pump. You will be using a crow foot to loosen the nuts. Also the bolts inside the timing cover.. # bolts are in there. Have to bump the engine to remove those.
I have a M1120A4 PLS/HLS . It came in due to engine light on. Cracked open the injector covers to see what's up. A lot of rust. Read me Snap On reader and it showed #3 & #4 injector bad. Changed them out and still have the engine light on. Got to checking and notice there was no power going to...

Sorry it took so long to get back with you and the answer to my question on the M1040 generator. I did have the mechanic go in and shut everything off, and tighten connectors along the wiring harness. Once I returned back to work after a few months, I tested everything and it all...
The hydraulic Spare tire cylinder is separate from the cab. Inside the little box on the side where the controls are, they are separate controls. Spare tire switch is for spare tire, cab lift control and ect..
I had run into a situation like that some years ago with the M1078 LMTV engines. There was a crack at the back of the engine oil pan and Transmission bell housing. Company said at that time it was a casting issue. Haven't seen one since. Recently I had 2 engines come in on work orders for oil...
I have an issue with a PU 822A/T. No power to the ECU. I checked the fuse and it's good. Changed the regulator, still the same. Do I need to look inside the junction box at the generator it self and take readings there? the unit says" ECU is stuck in heat mode. Thanks.
I have a MEP 1040A Generator. It was running for 5 mins. until it quit. Screen showed Coolant Sensor malfunction. The temp was only at 144 degress. No where close of over-heating @ 144. Any ideas. Towbarman
