@MatthewWBailey - How sure are you of the accuracy of your tach? Isn't it running off the VR? Just trying to reconcile a seemingly functional truck, no codes present, and the stall test results. :unsure: CAT ET or any J1939 setup will read the tach from the ECM also.

Sounds like it. Whoever wired it might have wired the fan current through the switch and it's probably not rated to handle it. This burnt out the contacts in the switch. A possibility you should investigate anyway.
