Double check the linkages for the shift lever and transfer case lever, but those would not have spontaneously disconnected most likely. The parking brake on a 998 is very mousy, there's no way it would hold against power applied. It just wouldn't feel right (slowed movement, but YES movement)...
If I recall correctly a few people have removed that and replaced it with a different connector. It would take a while to find it but I also recall someone pointing out that this connector does have a 24V+ pin, so it can deliver a small amount of power (low wattage). Probably better to run new...
Was great seeing everyone again. Sorry if I missed saying hello again to anyone. Felt strange after missing last year, like I missed a family reunion and so much changed in the interim I felt off kilter. Didn't help that the HMMWV suffered on the drive and couldn't take the trails. Thanks to...
I've heard a common failure for wiper motors is the power wire getting pinched at the bottom of the windshield where the windshield folds down. If yours was folded down at some point, it could have pinched and cut that wire.

I'll be drafting behind you at 45MPH. My truck gets positively twitchy above 60MPH. I've heard I can adjust the camber and toe in, but I'd rather drive slow :)

We expect to arrive Friday mid-day or so. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I plan to bring my manpack VHF, so we can try for some HAM activity on 40.00Mhz this year. Maybe I'll even make time to get the coax run to use my otherwise ornamental fender antenna finally!
See you all soon,

Was finally able to install my CAMOTEK blinker modules yesterday. Was a delay because I had to first replace the side markers as they were all badly corroded! I hadn't realized 3 of my 4 side markers were dead. Not burned out bulbs dead but corroded past the point of salvage dead.
I found a...
Changed the oil, greased all the zerks I could access and gave her a washdown. Plenty more to do to get her ready for Graves Mountain Rally and of the month.
Also finished installing Camo Tek front blinkers. I had to first replace the side markers as they were all badly corroded! I found a...
I'd add that I've seen prices on the AMG website vary depending on their stock levels. I bought direct from them, and I didn't pay the above price when I did 18 months ago. Want it now = pay what sellers are asking. Have time and patience = deals will come and go.

I have to run at 110C bed temp for common or exotic Nylon to have a chance. If you have a heated chamber that will also help with part flexion and reduce it trying to warp and pull off the bed (a little).
That said: Taulman Bridge nylon prints relatively well at modest temperatures (sub 100C...
Plain old Elmer's white school glue thinned out and applied in two coats (opposite directions of brushing) with a large flat brush has worked the best for me out of all the different adhesives I have tried, including Magigoo and other fancy ones. I also tried every white craft glue, none did...
I get the same from my wife when using a tape measure. She can't be bothered to learn the measurements. I am across the room, ready to cut a board and get told it needs to be "ten inches and three little ticks" long. On top of that the fact that some tapes have 1/32 versus 1/16 graduations makes...
That is indeed the 24VDC supply for a radio. It's wired directly to the battery terminal block. You can use it for a converter, BUT it is hot always, so you should consider a way to ensure the converter doesn't stay on all the time too, and drain your batteries slowly but surely.
I put a cannon...
If that's because of eBay policies, you might try opening a dispute with PayPal, assuming you used PP to send funds. PP has a much longer return/dispute period.
