In my experience, it's a total toss-up as to whether a truck is safety wired. I expect they were all safety wired from the factory and at some point, a hub was separated from a drum and Pvt. Joker chose not to re-safety wire it.
Some of these are not great pictures, but it's all I can do.
My...
Shoot, at the rate we're moving at this year, we're going to be all planned up and ready to roll by Friday of the rally!
Only took 12 years. :)
Dropbox or drive is great. As long as the spotty internet holds up.
I think what I'll do is have a nice simple master list of people's names and...
The way the military ID'd some of this stuff is confusing.
You have an M35A2. An M35A2C has a dropside bed.
There are C and D turbos. An M35A2 can have either.
Here are some threads that will help you identify the different turbos...
Ok, I fixed the links to the volunteer thread, I created a buy-sell-trade thread for the event and I edited post #1 to have that link as well.

So, let's go ahead and do this. Last couple of years I've been slack about getting the threads out as soon as I'd like and 2018 is the year of change.
So, this is simple: post up what you are looking for and what you're looking to move.
And please, remember, we're 7 months out. If you're...
So, I forgot to create this one when I created the rally thread and the rally buy-sell-trade thread.
We've worked for a long time to get the rally streamlined and I think at this point, we're pretty efficient.
This is what we need:
Registration tent: People with people skills, diplomacy...
This is the right way to affect the change we want.
Bitching on the internet feels good but accomplishes nothing. Organizing, contacting representatives and being knowledgeable, not crazy and polite make things happen. Look what Swiss and Zout and the guys in Georgia did.
Just the deuce ones, I'm like Kenny, I'm too smart to own a 5-ton. rofl
If you have an underdash diverter box that's identical to a deuce except it's mirror imaged (i.e. the hot air inlet is on the passenger side), that's for M39/M809 5 ton and maybe M939 (not sure).
The underhood heater box...
I've owned lots and lots of deuces now for 12 years without interruption. Never have I had an issue with one or the other battery failing.
If you've had 2 or 3 batteries fail, it's a statistical anomaly or coincidence, unless you were pulling accessory power off one then, which you said you...
Well, I had to take this thing apart today as it lost the tail lights. Had left and right turn but not just the tail/running lights.
It is pretty basic, a BIG rheostat and a bunch of resistors. A bunch of the smaller resistors broke free and several wires broke free, so I guess I'm going to...
So, I have to post an update.
After 3 years on the truck, one of the plastic mounting tabs on the box broke. Now, this may be my fault, as I tend to pull the box off and use it to test customer vehicles before I build another relay. So maybe that had something to do with it............
But...
Customer vehicle.
Rebuild brake system, install new tracks, make all lights and gauges work (none currently work), make it run right, make parking brake work, make accelerator linkage work, make charging system work, rebuild entire front axle because in WWII thery thought the best place to put...
