you are pretty much going somewhere in it every weekend aren't you? I suppose this time of year you almost have to cause once the snow flies outdoors car shows aren't as much fun. Us MV hobbist wouldn't be afraid to take-em out, but not too sure the guys putting extra coat of wax on before the...
of all the pics of deuces I've seen you've got to have the most traveled in the world-especially to car shows! Always makes my day to see pics of em
Put the M35 into service and saved a m211! Took me roughly 60 miles of dirt road to get her home. The deuce performed flawlessly. I needed the front axle's help a few times through bad road conditions. Also passed by a small town vfd that had 4-m35 out and I think one m211.
jasonjc, thanks for tow bar, worked awesome! I tried posting something on your classified page for a testimony , but it wouldn't let me. I just used 7/8" pins to hook to the bumper. I unhooked the feet to check for wear, and after 60miles of gravel, they showed little wear. I have been told, by...
Well finally got the old dog home. I would've sent you guys some arrival pics, but would've needed a night vision camera! What would be a 40mile trip turned
into a backroad trip of 60! My flagger lady had an unexpected meeting, so I didn't wanna risk too much traffic, relative to Montana that...
The tow at came in today by way of Jasonjc from the classified section-I can see why it is rated for 39,000lbs. Put off recovery till Thursday as something came up
Measuring the m35 pins I came up with an average of .990". The openings on my bumper brackets were about .005-.010" larger, so they were pretty darn close tolerance I would say. Granted both had rust on them, and my caliper battery was dead so I measured the pin opening using the caliper and...
Transmissions by Gene (www.restorationhydramatics.com) - I spoke to Gene, he has done them for people with M24 Chaffee tanks as they basically used the same transmission(?), price for a complete rebuild is $3985.00 + shipping to & from.
FATSCO (www.fatsco.net) - they have 3 types of Hydramatic...
One other question I have-are the brackets on the front bumper, where the tow hooks reside-are the pins that hold the hooks, are they 1" pins or 15/16" pins? On my m35 they are 1", but I have concern that they may be 15/16". If so I'll have to machine some sleeves into the 1" pinned feet that I...
Really, these trucks can be push started with an automatic? That's awesome. These trucks seem harder to get to know then a m35, these have some many little secrets, no wonder they are the Cadillac of deuces. It was also recommended to me to back the brakes off. I was planning on pulling the diff...
