Texas allows FMV (former military vehicles) to have numbers painted on bumper in lieu of plates. I'm not sure a out OK.
I drove mine from OKC(Tinker AFB) to Texas with no issues. Passed several PD with no issues. Note, I had insurance and one trip registration to show if they did pull me...
The A1 is probably going to have the older engine vs the A2 with the 8.3 turbo. You may want to research the differences. Gas mileage is a big difference from what I heard.
I bought my m931A2 for $10,000, and it didn't come with a hard top. That looks like a very nice truck based on...
Yea, I was looking into buying some of his adaptor plates in the future and his final sale out, caught me off guard.
I think a lot of us were sitting on the fence and he got tired of waiting for us to support his effort. :(
I agree, now. I was cutting a hole for a dog door in a metal door, and had a small sliver of metal get into my eye. I was wearing safety glasses, but it still made it into my eye. Ended up going to the hospital and paying them to remove it after several attempt to flush it out with water...
I have trailered my m931a2 with a gooseneck trailer rated for the weight and a ford 350 or 450 dually that my brother had access to use. We drove in the middle of the night to avoid traffic and kept it at 35-55ish mph for about a 80 mile trip. No issues save some low trees. I think we were...
Just to repeat previous advise. Do not run your truck with low/dead batteries. You will fry your alternator voltage regulator and when it goes it can blow out gauges and lights. I have first hand experience, and now run a commercial alternator that die more gracefully.
Do yourself a favor...
Looks like it was the shutoff valve. Brother stomped on the gas pedal several times and moved the shutoff T-handle back and forth several times. This freed up what ever was sticking and as we turned over the engine it sputtered and started.
We had previously cracked the lines to the...
Having the same issue with my 109 parked at my brothers. He has verified fuel getting past all the fuel filters and being pressurized by the in tank fuel pump. Cranks strong with fresh batteries and I'm thinking either shut off valve stuck or IP issues. He did start to crack the injectors...
If it is really cavitation, then I would think you would want to stop it. The pressures involved with creation of those bubbles will eat away softer metals where they form. I guess if it happens on a steel part it may not be an issue. My exposure was with bronze props on my boat.
Yes, because the roads in Ireland are so wide they will have no problems driving it around. :-)
Speaking of driving deuces. I started mine up, verified all was running well and drove it around the block, before parking it. After driving the M931A2 lately, returning to the deuce reminded me...
Replaced military Alternator with a commercial Dozer Alternator. Had to notch bracket and add a spacer, but it is running like a champ.
Replaced all the lights that died when the military Alternator voltage regulator burned out. New Dozer alternator shouldn't do this when it dies, and...
I think there were some replacement windows being sold in the classifieds, but I forget who was selling them.
I was thinking of buying them, but decided I would rebuild the ones I have as some future project. I wouldn't mind replacing them with something modern, but want to maintain the...
