11 Series Turo HMMWV, When looking from the front of the engine bay down the center axis of the vehicle... is the engine mounted and aligned along this center axis (like practically all other modern cars) or is the motor angled to one side a bit?
May be overkill but convenient option when all set up.

I hear you on that but he said he saw 4 volts at the PDP so if there there is enough current flow to show that kind of a drop then there is enough to do a lazy test without applying a test load. But one could easily turn on a few accessories.
I would grab a multimeter and test the voltage at each 24V connection staring at the battery and moving one by one towards the cab. You will see where it drops off pretty clearly. Salt water causes metal oxidation so anything in contact with it will be affected to some degree. Some minor some...
Even if I'm dragging the HMMWV down the freeway on its side I'm not worried about exceeding a 44k rating. Pulling a MTVR up and down steep grades would make me think twice. You can always go bigger and heavier. But at some point your age, health, and risk of injury heaving a 140lb bar outweighs...
Its my understanding that the Ibis Tek HMMWV bars started failing when the Up Armored HMMWVs came out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The Medium Tow bar for sale everywhere is 140 lb. We have options so I chose to get the 44k Ibis Tek Medium tow bar. It should pull a HMMWV and any other MTV.
I...
So bad diesel creates a laquer film as well much like old gasoline? We left the gas in my dads Snowmobile for over a year and I spent hours stripping those carburators down into loose pieces and having it all dipped at a pro shop to get all the sticky crud resistant to EVERY solvent I could find...
Does anyone know the final word, engineering reasons, these fuel line check valves were included by AM General?
What specific issue(s) are they there to fix?
What possible side effects would permanently removing them cause?
You can explain anything away with fandom reasoning.
The HMMWV disintegrated in a roll at 45mph. Military spent millions refitting older HMMWVs with rollover mitigation tech and the new ones have it.
That wasnt because of one "staged" test.
Looking at the construction on these trucks what I...
Here is a list of MTVR part numbers. I verified some of them so the list is valid.
