    Opinion on air filters?

That foam band you can get those foam covers online. I got a few for mine. Unfortunately I can't find the order that I got them from!! I think it was through napa though. I got 3 3 set nos boxes of filters and the foam was falling off so I blew it out and put new ones on. Got the filters...

    Gen 1 Dash Light

No don't loosen the belt just make sure it isn't loose. Unplug the regulator and see if the light goes out.

    Stuck Injector? Mep 803a

any chance the return fuel lines are doing that leaking all over the hose thing they do? Mine did that until I replaced that hose from the top of the engine down to the tank. I was just running the fuel pump for a few minutes before I'd try to start it and it was fine before I did replace it.

    Gen 1 Dash Light

Ok if you unplugged the regulator and the light went out then you got a bad regulator or the belt is slipping like crazy. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    AcuTemp Refrigerator

As many times I've had those batteries out I never noticed they weren't wired at the batteries for 24 volt...makes this charging setup much easier. A small maintaining charger would work perfectly. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    AcuTemp Refrigerator

Interesting!! So I assume each port goes to one battery with a 12 volt charger? Could a 24 volt charger be used so only one plug is needed or wired I wonder. I see how that will work as it wouldn't be any different for the acutemp with the batteries hooked up and charged and being charged at...

    AcuTemp Refrigerator

So I looked at mine today after sitting the last few weeks not plugged in and the batteries show 92% charge. It is inside the house so it isn't getting really hot if that matters or not.

    Gen 1 Issue?

That stinks!! Unfortunately it does sound like the guys rebuilding them didn't know gen 1 had to be an isolated ground. If they're not familiar with the 24 volt system on these trucks it wouldn't be hard to miss. You should be able to test if it was isolated or not by checking resistance at the...

    Oil Pressure Gauge Location

I'd hook one up there at the head. One thing I've seen when doing that though is you pop a t in there and that can break over time so use the shortest extension coming out of it to the t so it won't fracture with all the vibration or get a short hydraulic hose made so the vibration won't matter...

MEP802 on the House. What's going on here...

If you can have an ac guy or electrician check the in rush amps of the ac setup, you may find a soft start will work. They're about 300$ and easy to install. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

MEP802 on the House. What's going on here...

How far away is the genset from the house? Is 6 4 big enough for the distance? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

MEP802 on the House. What's going on here...

I'd bet your ac compressor pulls more than 40 amps to start up...pop a soft start on it then it should be able to handle it better. Until then I wouldn't run the ac...might pop the capacitor on the power input of the compressor. If you haven't already do a basic load test by adding a little at a...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

That's Mike...he's got a good bit of these on hand. They are all southern trucks that are in great condition. He sells them all the time like this plus fully restored. He does tons of parts too if you need anything off of one. He'll get that price or close to it too. Your's would bring high...

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

Got the rear diff fluid changed on the 1028 and swapped in a nos cover as well. It has 02/08 painted on it, I think the fluid was due for a change. I did change the other axle shaft seal, and it had the same paper stuff as a gasket, but not much was left. Kids painting all day, so he primed and...

    Using thicker oil

Glad you made it through that. Maybe you got some bugs in the radiator too?? Like radiator might be a little clogged? Hopefully the last no power issue until you get it buttoned down! Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    CUCV M1008 Build

That's a ton of info!! I've never seen that type of insert before. Looks very long. I've used heli coil but moved on to time certs since I think they're permanent vs might uncoil if removed again. From the sounds of it you got a new engine without all the casting issues the old stuff had. I'll...
