I am looking to repaint the interior of the cab of my LMTV. There are some rust spots that I would like to take care of. I was thinking of using a wire wheel to get off the big bits, hit it with Rustoleum Rust Restorer and then prime and paint with some tan Rustoleum Enamel. I also wanted to...
I don't know if you got the part number for the block heater or not, but I used: 3500081 Zerostart Cat 3116 Engine Heater 1500w 120v
It was pretty easy but a snug fit. I used a piece pvc and a hammer to tap it in snug to the block. I drained maybe 8 gallons of antifreeze to get it below the...
Just in case your issue is complex (more than on issue causing it), I had a tire that would slowly go flat. This is a month after drove it home (2000 miles) with no issues. I noticed when I re-inflated it using the schrader valve (had to disconnect my CTIS for other reasons), the core moved a...
In a $100k plus vehicle that could require a fast egress, they come with the cheapest door handles I have ever seen.
I am not a military preservationist and my wife is not on board with the whole project so money is tight. That being said, I would pay a premium to be able to reliably exit...

I had an issue with my Front and Rear air gauges not reading correctly (they maxed out as soon as power was applied to them, reading 120+ psi all the time). The issue turned out to be a bad wire from the gauge to the transducer(?) below the dash. All the wires were connected, but the right...
Thanks NDT. I think the gauges are ok since a different one gave me the same result. I checked the transmitters under the dash for obvious issues, but I will check them closer.
Edit: Found the issue. It was a bad wire on the transmitter beneath the dash. The wire was connected but broken...
I am having a weird problem with my gauges on my 1995 M1078 and any help would be really appreciated.
My front and rear air brake gauges read over 120psi all the time. When I start the truck, the gauges pin to the right and I never hear a warning buzzer that the tanks are getting up to...

I went in to the DMV with the Bill of Sale from GovPlanet. I registered it as a truck and picked the weight I wanted to register it as (progressively more for each higher bracket). I paid $480ish for 21,000lbs GVW and walked out with plates. No title is required or given since mine...
Just wondering if anyone knows the pickup days for Ft Hood. Are they still Wednesday and Thursday? I am trying to arrange travel to pick up a LMTV and I am sweating every detail...
