Rearranged a Toyota today with my M1078!

Many of the MV owners on here were not out of the crib yet when this was filmed :)

Rearranged a Toyota today with my M1078!

I wonder if those funky looking mirrors that a parabolic, mounted to the top of the door, and run parallel to the door would help. I see them in European trucks a lot.

Have you installed 3.07 gears in your truck? Kindly step in I have something to ask

I paid $2000 for 3 axles. Have not installed yet, so I guess I got a deal.

The dreaded CTIS seal, bearing repack job on my MTV

If you do this, be sure to clean out the auto brake adjusters very well. Order a case of brake cleaner from Amazon. While not shown, the hubs were painted with black grill paint. The inside of the brakes were carefully painted as well. You need to carefully seat the seals. I did not buy a tool...

The dreaded CTIS seal, bearing repack job on my MTV

Honestly, most of the drums come off pretty easily. A gentle tapping of a #20 BFH on the back side is all you need.

    M1078 abroad

I have two lockers, but probably will only use one at my middle axle. Would be interested to hear more or, even better, a video of a lock up "kicking you in the ass" to get an idea of what you are referring to : )

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

At the higher voltages, be sure to physically separate the wiring of the 2 voltages widely. GFCI and arc fault breakers are typically used. The smaller splits will do 120, but around 18k, you will need 220. Take a look at National Electric Code, particularly the area of bonding vs grounding...

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

Are you going to just charge the batteries, and/ or invert to 120 or 240 volts?

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

Bucket of soapy water and long handle pool brush. Been doing solar a very long time. 20 years + not unusual lifespan with slow degradation.

    Driveline question...

Shop around. If you watch the auction sites, they pop up on the cheap now and then. Got a few there a couple of month ago.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002UNP8M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 NO relation to The Tiger King!

    M1078 LMTV Fix-up Thread

I looked at this, but ended up with the Tiger Tool. Found it used. Some people do not like U joint pullers, and just use brute force tools. If you use either, be sure to pull the zerks off first.
