And we continue on , LOL . ownership , how is it registered ? is the title available , vehicle is probably a 70-71 rebuilt by AM General in the 90's check the ownership to the serial number on the MV , has any maintenance been done to the vehicle ? do a check of the mv for leaks of any kind ...
You have a M35A3 chassis with the van body on it . Has air assist steering , CTIS , and a cat engine with a Alison Trans . DO NOT believe the odometer on any military vehicle they get changed all the time . I would recommend you have someone knowledgeable on MV's go with you to check it out ...
We made it ! Labatt's is on ice ready to go . The convention worked out good , hit the convention on the way back from a visit with my BAMA relatives , always a fun bunch !!LOL Will hook up with the rest of the WNY crew at the Expo CTR .
I would run it . The chip in the gear doesn't bother me , I have seen worse , That being said I would be more concerned with the condition of bearings . Check for any roughness and/or rust in the bearings and if all is good replace the seals ,lube it up and go for it .
I have had very few problems registering my MV's at the DMV's in WNY . Results my vary as they say . Just titled my latest ride, M1031 , no problems , but it has a standard VIN . Just make sure you have good ownership documents with whatever you buy. Something else to consider is how you...
I recommend you go see Jatonka , he would give you all the in's and out's on a DEUCE , save you some grief maybe . Take one for a ride see if it suits your needs
Not hard at all to register MV's in upstate NY , down state with the Diesel emissions I am not sure . If you pick up a Deuce , it will more than likely be older than 1972 so no title , just a Transferable Registration , If you get a vehicle with a title from another state DMV will change it to...
Could be anything , lots of things could cause metal shavings in the oil . If you have oil problems it could be scuffed/cylinder liners or crankshaft bearings . How is your oil pressure ? have you cut open your oil filter ? it could give you a hint , bottom line is you will have some disassembly...
Please let us know how this works out . I have been thinking about something similar for my state . They have every other plate so a plate for MV's would be great .
Sounds a lot like REVENUE ENHANCEMENT to me , a lot like the old joke about the PD walking up to your vehicle and saying you were going $100.00 over the speed limit .
Thanks Doghead , all of that sounds like a plan , we are early in the process , but because the truck is so far up , I am just trying to get my Duck's in a row as they say. I hate to wait for the last minute . Because of the location , it would be more direct to go thru Canada direct on the 401...
Ya it sure is up there . I bet it makes Buffalo look good in winter LOL !!! The MV is stored for the winter , so that is good . I bet it's a nice ride in the summer LOL !!!
I have a M1031 Maintenance truck that needs to be moved from the Chassell Michigan 49916 to Lockport NY 14094 . Truck runs and drives , no issues , it is in storage for the winter . but can be moved anytime . My email is rtkjmk104@gmail.com . home phone 716 433 0614 . I am very flexible...
