I pulled with my HEMTT and there was never any issue even with the pintle height. I pulled after the pro class and with the same sled settings as them. I don't really see what the sled owner/operators issue was. The likelihood of damage to the sled is extremely slim, but the puller is high. I...
Karl, my M985 has 2 tanks under the battery tray and 2 more slightly larger ones behind the fuel tank. I have to say you have a bad check valve feeding the primary tanks but I can't tell you where it is located. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
As far as I know the only VIN are on the tags on the drivers door or a plate by the shifter.
But I haven't looked to see otherwise. You may try to reach out to Oshkosh and see if they will answer your questions.
I am referring to the 3.5 Ecoboost, 365HP 420 Ft#s stock and a simple programmer will push it up a lot. Plus a serious reduction of weigh. The 3.5 is running over 600HP in the Ford GT.
Either HEMTT 20" wheel is fine on front. You can use the standard A2 5 ton SS wheel on the rear axles. You can use 6 HEMTT if you like but you only NEED 2. Also, make sure they a 20" as the have been MK48 21" wheels mistakenly sold as HEMTT 20".
Take note that is for a 2006 H1 which requires a slew of emissions components including: Catalytic converter, EGR, and more. Stick that on a HMMWV and you will have problems in any state requiring diesel emissions.
I haven't had to do anything to mine. Seen a few that had insulation coming off or missing. Should be straight forward work and not real hard to clean, paint and insulate.
Just pull the pick up tube from the tank and inspect it. My thoughts are it has some holes corroded into it. Another check could be to fill the fuel tank full and it the air bubbles stop that would also indicate holes in the pick up tube.
Not an M939 series truck, but I have an M985 HEMTT that went through a "0 Reset/Rebuild" contract program at Oshkosh. This is a strip to frame and send down the assembly line type program that basically makes it new again and has warranty. They run down the line with new truck builds at the same...
I replaced my spring seats with High back air rides that have shoulder harness'. They were take outs from a PLS (m1074) so the pedestal was different. The seat slides mounted directly to my HEMTT pedestals with no mods. Not sure what seats you have but air ride installs are not hard. The...
